Hi all, cant help but worry about an issue... noticed random little spots on one fishy (looks transparent/like a bubble); not exactly white. I might be paranoid but I managed to catch one of it into QT (with ICH medication) but the other "partner in crime" is so damn hard to catch.. was wondering if theres any ICH medication out there suitable for a tank with fishes and corals.. (damn.. have to get garlic solution to try and boost up their immunity also leow) thx

Im looking for some spare parts for the Macro350 skimmer (or recommendations of shops will also do) etc:missing the pipe for the outlet + control vault and the pipe for the inlet, and a funnel on the inside.... hence resulting in the water lvl always midway in the skimmer (nowhere even near the cup/neck) Tried going to some PVC piping shops.. no luck as the size is not of the standard size they sae

Ok all, sorry if I post soo many qns.. i jus finished doing up my new tank.. wanted to let the water run... I have a 3ft by 2.5ft by 2ft... one macro as350 skimmer (not sure if I connected correctly or not) 2800l/h powerhead connected to > as350 mid portion where air duct is and water outlet out from pipe at bottom of skimmer back up into main tank.. and seriously.. tats the only powerhead I have (cos the tank has a overflow built in) Filled tank up with water and on skimmer.. and woot! I was so "happy" to see water flowing out of the skimmer's cup into the tank and subsequently flooding my cabinet *can imagine my happiness Not sure wats wrong... is it the lack of power from just having ONE powerhead? Should I add in another 2800l/h somewhere? (p/s: all valves are open)

Erhm ya another qns... is it ok to reuse LRs from one tank to another immediately? need to wash first or anything? Because Ive had cases of ICH b4.. and was wondering if the parasite will inhabit the LRs... hope its not a dumb qns

Hi all... erhm am gonna start LRscaping this sat.. and am seeking some advice on how to scape them (eg bigger LRs bottom or top) or any websites for reference hopefully got imgs... Tank is 2.5ft tall.. erhm and erhm 3ft in length. Dun actually feel like piling all the rocks up.. have seen some "play cheat" by using racks and using the LRs to hide it (to create illusion that there is actually a HUGE pile of LRs) Erhm.. nxt qns: what type of material of tubing should i use to form the rack/where can i get any readily available ones? Will it harm the LS in time to come? Thx

Hmm i think i got spare airpump and containment.. but no spare protein skimmer Erhm.. thats the prob.. the person super eager to get rid of all the LRs... and i thought it was a bargain so i grabbed them cos im a budget reefer...

Thanks to you guys for shedding some light on this.. so basically.. "live rocks" can be dead rocks that are porous enuff to be able to house bacteria in them after being placed in your tank.. Hmm because Im getting a huge amounts of LRs soon (80kg) .. and my current tank isnt enuff to house them... mine is a small one.. inside only 20kg and almost maxed... im not kiasu.. preparing for my new tank.. i dun wan to last min cry... erhm but my frd was asking mi to check if they are live or fake aka man-made cos i got them at fairly cheap price.. and he saez its way below market rate... and i realise its true.. i dunno how to tell the difference i think! Another issue.. with the huge amt of rocks.. how do i store them until my tank comes? Can i leave them in the pails in the open? Was taught to fill a containment with saltwater and dump them in... eh? no need air/filtration? Thx

Erhm hi.. ok this is BAD WHat if i bought a massive amt of LRs (to prepare for new tank) and erhm.. my current tank dun have space for them.. can i jus 1) fully submerge them in a pail/styform box with seawater away from direct sunlight for like mayb 1 wk or so? 2) need an airpump to pump air into the water?

Hi all.. hmm never really have experience with LRs b4.. well bought b4 but I suppose they should be genuine LRs.. erhm but I heard theres fake rocks in the market made to look like LRs.. how can i tell the difference? (presuming that the LRs have not been in the tank for a while...)

Yes actually... its currently the biggest in the tank.. ok mayb i should counter it... I put in a uber big fish (*excuse to get uncle to go fishopping) and see it being attacked tat little bugger Actually for some reason, my back of the tank... is reflective leh I dunno why also... I can see reflection of the interior of the tank and the fishes... is it enuff? Thanks... and sorry for you guys having to type replies
