hey, this might sound stupid but did you shake the bottle well before pouring out the content? In addition, i find that when you add bacteria, its good to switch off the wave makers and return pump, mix with some tank water before pouring everything in. that way there is time for the bacteria to settle on media, otherwise it might get skimmed out by the protein skimmer. i've been dosing fritz zyme 9, microbacter 7 and occasionally prodibio. seem to work well for my tank, although i didn't test for ammonia, only nitrite and nitrate. if all else fail, add more and see if it works. hope this helps
