1 blue damsel and star polyp rock. The star polyp is greenish but not super luminious green type.. FCFS, colleciton at bukit timah, beauty world.

i never had luck feeding flakes.. it often flows into the overflow before the fish eats it.. any advise?

thanks bro. i tried feeding nori.. the one use to wrap sushi bought from super market, unseasoned. also tried Two Little Fishes brand one.. both also YT not interested. i'll keep trying

i have not soaked them overnight before. usually just soak for 15 mins and then pour into tank slowly (together w/ the extract) i'll swing by RD to get selcon. always hear about it but nv tried... and from the picture, is that HLLE?

mm.. but i read it isn't really a nutritious food for them although they will eat it. how is yours doing feeding on lettuce? is it romaine lettuce only or any type?

hi all, have 2 small size yellow tangs in my tank now... 1st YT bought at LCK last last Sunday. Didn't try to feed before I caught it in the net... my mistake. It won't eat anything except grazing on whatever algae there is on the rocks. I have tried brine, mysis (with and w/o garlic guard), nori (purple and green), ulva, formula 1 pellets, spectrum pellets... it follows the other fishes to the food but doesn't eat any. How do i make it eat? Its so skinny now i'm afraid it will starve to death... 2nd YT bought from fellow reefer. suspect it has MHLLE... feeding greedily but haven't let out of betta box yet. If it is indeed MHLLE, what's the best cure? Thanks

does anyone know or have any experience with keeping the following types of fishes? looking for advice on compatibility algae blenny (lawnmower) and midas blenny flame hawk and longnose hawkfish my tank is 3 by 2 by 2. already have the algae, thinking if i can add a midas coz i think blennies fight... as for the 2 hawkfish, i like the flame very much but a longnose is nice too. if they fight i guess i'll settle for the former when it becomes available.

is this reef safe and do u know how much one would cost?

good mh bulbs don't come cheap either.. a good bulb will probably cost around $100 and ATI tubes are about 28 each.. with T5, u can control the color spectrum but its harder to do so with MH, thus u need blue light supplement. also dun just take total power rating as a guide. mh is point source, so although u get the nice ripple effect. the lighting will be more focused on a spot as compared to T5 which spreads it out evenly across the tank. also u can raise the mh fixture to get a broader spread of light and to reduce the intensity so your LPS won't get cooked

hydor has a controller for the koralias don't they? i know for SEIO which is also AC, TAAM did develop a controller that can vary from 30% to 100% power. unfortunately AC are not suitable for wavebox because it cannot guarantee startup in an instance, as the prop might be spinning the wrong way, thus the clunking sound when u try and start it up.... the SEIO controller works for the hydors koralias btw.. alot of examples on other forums
