this skimmer is great! but i find it troublesome to dismantle and put back when you want to clean the reaction chamber. especially the top part where the gunk collects as you can see in the photo. you'll have to clean that off or the efficiency drops after awhile.. otherwise a great skimmer! also it would have been nicer if they used black or tinted acrylic to build it. transparant one grows aglae quickly and its not as nice visually as compared to say.. the remora or even prizm.

Daeil is the OEM for artica. I'm using a artica 1/5 to cool down a 3x2x2 feet (w/ 2x2x1.2 sump) running mainly on T5. takes about an hour to cool it down from 29 to 28 depending on the weather. and the chiller is not housed in a cabinet... so you might want 1 size bigger? glad to see you back in the hobby again.

i have some, u are free to come and take foc. pm me grape calupera have a tendency to go asexual.. which might cause a tank crash so people tend to avoid them. chaeto on the other hand can be quite messy when small bits and pieces of it drops off and gets trapped in filters / pumps. grape and red bamboo makes good food for tangs though 2 cents.

i have toyed with the idea as well but lighting the fr evenly would be tough. also i was thinking sooner or later brownn algae, coraline or even cyano will cover the fr and you would have to empty everything out and clean it up. would it be better to set aside a partition in the sump for fuge?

oh my... i didn't know it was carcinogenic. dang... i wondered if i washed my hands well after using it. in any case, after 2 20mins dip on 2 days.. and poking / exploding all the white lesions found on the polyps, all zoas seem to be doing well today. Were supposed to dip them again the 3rd time yesterday but too busy, didn't have time. hopefully after this week's water change, all will go back to normal. am going for an extended overseas trip this weekend, hopefully when i come back i don't see a mass extinction. fingers crossed =(

Hi all, i have a H&S 110-f2000 body for sale. no crack, very good condition. the pump is toasted but you should be able to get a replacement pump w/ needlewheel easily from some LFS. it uses at AB2000/1. its an insump skimmer selling for $80

sorry to hijack the thread but i realized some of my colonies have the pox.... does anyone know if it is infectious and if i should take them out or will they recover given the right conditions? also heard furan-2 works charm on them.. where can i get some?
