Looking for 2nd hand MARES VOLO Fins
hoppinghippos replied to icehot1000's topic in General Reefkeeping_
just to share, I"ve come across reviews that volo may experience wear at the flexible joint at the side and hence may not last as long as you would like it to. -
hi strat you've pm!!
-
force fins are the ones who a V shaped front rite? tried before, kept feeling like the fins were going to pop off anytime. I use tusa splitfins, nice and comfortable, and just to correct, they are great for sculling! what's great is you can adopt a frog kick position but just tweedle your ankles to scull gently and off you go!

diving in singapore, recommendations?
hoppinghippos replied to siglap's topic in General Reefkeeping_
my reccomendations is... don't go.... like the rest said, viz is bad, current can be bad, all in all makes for a miserable experience not to mention unsafe. might as well save the money and go for a one day dive trip to sibu or something. -

James: Its not a matter of whether its ok to experiment, its a matter of insisting on experimenting knowing the outcome, esp when it results in loss of life. pple experiment when the outcome is very unclear, but if the outcome is quite predictable (eg > 80% chance your LS will die) then it isn't called experiment but stubborness to take no for an answer. given your tank setup and current equipment and stock, there's a high chance SPS won't make it in your tank, so to persist is like kicking a dog and believing it won't bite back.
