your CMI corner sps looks nicer than the top showpiece in my tank I can create space to house this CMI ones to rid the pain off U from looking at them all the time -
Scarab is right in pointing out the benefits of T5s. If anyone has seen Dan's tank....you'll be sold its good. Too bad...most reefers here tend to use other tubes that IMO...cannot match the output of ATIs. (ATI tubes take so long to be shipped in????) But seriously considering Blueheaven, still studying, I would still recommend MH instead of The tubes. check out the price of an ATI 54W tubes...multiply it ...do the maths, factor in the shorter change-out time.... you 'll know its an easy decision...haha

added a few more upgrades to keep the water as parasite free as possible her latest equipment - a 12x coralife twister ...and a H&S skimmer

some updates for my wife....she too busy playing with the supergirl nowadays... her latest addition.....special thanks to Henry for taking such a good care of the guy

for sps....go with 250W.... dun go a big rd.... IMO....for SPS....unless ATI 54W tubes....it will be challenging to hold the colours for that depth. and the change-out for the T5s is faster than MH---> thus long term running cost is much higher than MH

bros... Roidan...good review. I am sure a lot of guys here has benefitted a lot from this thread. The obj is not to compare skimmers and brag about who has the bigger, more expensive or efficient skimmer. It really is about understanding the capacity of a skimmer and its performance under a rather controlled environment. I would really love to see it run in your setup for a few more days to see more results...maybe your bane's poison is too potent this run I'm sure the owner of this skimmer owes you a big cup of coffee for doing the late night review

stick to MH.....go with what's been working for you
-
To me, looks weaker with Extrema(dun have the gadget to test)....wonder with its original spec of eheim 1260, how weak it will be? Guess this skimmer performs best insump?
-
Impressive...waiting for more details

You are the best .... I trust this will be an exciting review! This skimmer is german made, I have tested it once....impressive for a venturi skimmer...hope to learn more about other skimmers ard ...not just the standard macro and weipro venturi skimmers we are farmiliar with for efficiency...totally no idea....need to see what Roidan can find out from this little test. Trust it will be a very fair assessment. Thanks for answering the request by a local reefer here. This is what the forum is about.

I have taken out all my zeolites liaoz.....going back to the old way of reefing without all these...but still dosing amino acid though. Too gutless to use zeospur2.....my digis are the first to suffer when dosage is off.... -
