bro,,, i have a 6ft tank,,,,, dun mind adding some moonlight for my tank,,,, currently,,, have 2 6ft PL ,,, both 10k, one blue and one white light.... however ,,, for the moonlight,,, do you need to place them very near to the water surface or what is the ideal distance above the water surface?? how many and how much for a 6ft..

i realised that there seems to be a mild outbreak of brown algae..... i am currently having a 6ft PL light (10k) and another 6ft PL light (blue) the white running from 11am to midnite.... while the blue light runs from 10am to 2am any suggestions to control this brown algae.....

my first residents of the tank,,,, 5 green chromis....

guys,,, can comment whether anything need to be changed in the sump... should i change the media to LR instead of those bio balls and ceramic rings at the bottom....

juz got the time to download some pics on my equipment......

the md55 is up and running well...... the 5 chromis are fine also.. eating well,,, weekend will check water perimeter.......

thanks for ur compliment... jem,,,, so sorry,... actually i posted on the pasar malam thread,,,, giving the LR away.... sometime in sept05...... anyway,, the LR was in a veri bad state...... covered completely with red aglae... u will hve a hard time cleaning them........

the LR weight almost to 70kg.... abit ex.... tank is a 6ft by 2ft by 2ft.....

hi guys,,, just reset my tank recently, threw away all my LR and DSB. i thought of posting my progress so that i can share with you guys what i am doing and will be doing to my tank. In this way,,,,, you guys can help to advise me if i am doing anything wrong...... Firstly,,, i am starting my tank without any DBS. all my rocks are basically branch rocks...... running the system now for abt a month..... should be adding some fish soon..

my tank completely empty..... no fish yet,,, should be getting a few fish this weekend to put in my tank..... another question,,,, is there a need to quarantine the fish??? i mean i am getting maybe 5 chromis or damsel for a start to start the cycle..... do they need to be quarantine???

guys,, my tank has been running abt a mth.... i do on the light once in a while... i noticed there are some brown algae growin in the LR,,, how do i get rid of them,.,,, add snails???
