  1. never reali ask much ... juz walk and look see.... was there in the afternoon... abt 3plus... tink is the one in the first tank when u walk in....
  2. wah!!! bro tineng... thanks for your info.... anyway.... looking at the coral lab kalk reactor....
  3. went down to j & j ... they got a small red froggie and lots of the light yellowed coloured froggies...
  4. bro, actually kalk reactor is like those dosing pump??? or like the calcium reactor type??? so for you,,, 4-6l a day.. how much do you drip in???
  5. bro, any particular brand for the dosing pump???
  6. paiseh..... u still in spore???? we can meet up for drinks??? if u want prata also can,,, prata on me......
  7. hi,,, you dose based on your own judgement or you have some form of equipment for dosing??? currently for my top up,,,i add the brand Prime,, red bottle,, it has a sulphur smell, and tink its for de-chlorine, reduce ammonia etc... then leave over nite before using it as top up...
  8. Dear Guys,,,,, need your advice on dosing of kalkwasser,,, just wanna find out whether do alot of you add kalk into ur top-up water??? is kalk supposed to be dosed direct into the sump on a daily basis or only for top-up for water??? From wat i understand the kalk is supposed to elevate the ph and at the same time replenish the calcium. However, i am not sure whether it increase the calcium level or maintain the initial calcium level??
  9. shouldnt be a problem.... will be there.... see u tomolo....
  10. hi,, thanks alot for the info,,, so mine falls just fine based on the water parameters you stated.,,,, anyway i off topic for a while liao... sorry.... back to the froggies....
  11. hi,,, how do you increase the ph level... and for my ammonia level....is 0.02 too high??? so wat is the ideal level for ammonia....???
  12. tested water parameters. NH3 0.02 NO2 0.001 NO3 5.5 PO4 0.3 water seems good and cycle is almost done. time to add some fishes......
  13. SQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! our beloved airline......... anyway,, my emperor is swimming in heaven now .... Advise to the rest of you guys,,, the fishes overseas are always nice to look at,, but have to seriously consider that their water parameters, their tap water,, etc is so different from ours. I went down to a lfs to test my water using their mini lab,,, i am not saying i have the best water condition, NH3 0.02 NO2 0.001 NO3 5.5 Ph 8.05 but given the result, the water shld be good for fish only tank.... the onli conclsion,, was i did not acclimatise the fish... advice given after yesterday tragic ,, put the oversea/new fish in a pail with his own water from the shop, use an air hose to suck water from your own tank into the pail, top up twice or thrice the amt of the water in the pail. that is one part of water from shop to 2 or 3 part of water from your tank,,, after that is done,,, wait for a while before intro the fish to your tank. guess thur this form of acclimatisation shld increase chance of survival in your tank... another point to note, fishes in HK are not as hardy, given that the mentality in HK is fishes are expendable, die? buy again,, that is how it explains the lower price in their fish. All their tanks are packed with fishes. when they order in bulk the fish naturally will be cheaper. However, their equipment is supposedly to be cheaper,, like the german brands. maybe you can check their equipment out. not much froggie there, all the common ones.... not worth buying.. given the tragic that just happened to me... anyway, if you guys have bought fish overseas and is thriving in your tank,
  14. hi guys, need your advise on what brand to get for a de-nitrator and the media to use.. i am looking at the schuran and as for the media,,, sulphur beads?? is it good???

  16. most likely hand carry... checked with ava the las time,,, 30 pieces max and onli 3litres of water....... anyway.... go there look see look see.......
