hi lester,, started to clean tank at 4 plus ended ard 10plus.... wahhh!!! anyway,, the water is topped back up.... i read from the container,,, one bucket of the salt can fill up to 560 plus litres of water... that means,, onli one bucket is enough leh... anyway i mixed one bucket in,,, wait to see wats the outcome the next few days.... thanx for your offer lester,,, definitely will need ur help in future....

Hi all, i am currently resetting my tank... i have abt 100kg plus of live rocks and 2 fish to give away... 1) 100 kg plus of live rocks ( rocks are covered with thick green algae and slime, if anyone taking them have to have alot of cleaning to do. no choosing or taking partial. any takers will have to get their own container to clear the rocks) 2) One purple tang (3 Inches) 3) One blue tang (4 Inches) For both the fishes, only pple with water conditions stable and are keen to rear them, not for pple who wishes to take them for resale to others

sorry abt the live rocks illusionist..... lester,,, yeah man,, the buckets were damn heavy .... wah... like carrying jerry cans in the army man..... wii confirm with you tomolo ... when to meet up... thanx for ur help today....

sorry acid,,, already off line just now.... anyway..... i will be resetting my tank.... so the below mentioned are free... one purple tang (3 inch) one blue tang (4 inch) For the fishes mentioned above, they are free to those who want to keep them, NOT for anyone who comes get them for resale to others. 100kg plus of rocks (i will be throwing them away if no takers,, however, be warned, you have to take the rocks back to clean,, they are covered big time with algae and slime)

hi ,,, i was just wondering,, since my tank only got two fish left,,, can i take them out,,,, leave the tank as it is clean up the whole tank and do partial water change every week for the next 1.5mths.... at the same time ,,,, clean up the existing live rocks... is it feasible????

hi lester, thanx.... for the sand bed... wat do you mean byDSB?? i think if i reset the tank ,,, i will get rid of all the sand and LR. Steps : Add the sand then all the premix salt water. There after i tink it will need at least 1-1 1/2 mths for the water to run within the system?? There after live rocks can be added ?? Followed by some fish to create bacteria??? pls correct me if i am wrong..... As for my purple and blue tang,, you know anyone wants to keep them,, i dun mind giving away.... if your system is stable enough... worried they mind die as they have been with me for abt 1 1/2 yrs liao.... if any kind soul can help me out,,, by taking care for me for these 2 mths .... i will reali appreciate..... drinks on me....

hi lester and all,,, thanks for the warm welcome.... i started having my marine tank abt one and half yr ago... only 3 mths ago,,, my chiller broke down and boy,, the repair sure took a long time to replace my spolit parts,,, thats how my coral tank went down,,,, currently i have only two fish left,, the rest i have gave away.. as these 2 fish (one purple tang and one blue tang) has been with me since the start my tank,,, i thought of keeping them til i restart my whole marine system,,, any idea how to keep them while i reset my tank.. and lastly,,, the frog fish (5 inches) whack my purple tang in front of my eyes.... saw my tang swam past him and got whacked .... anyway... i really need the basic help... like when i empty the tank... how much sand and what type of sand to put in... water... mixture... dun reali know whether my live rocks can be used... cos the rock is covered with green algae..

Dear all frog lovers, i need your advice on the resetting of my tank. I currently have a 6ft tank. used to be a coral tank until a mishap happened. most of my corals are dead and my tank looks like a scene in titantic. i gonna throw all my live rocks and sand bed away. however, i need help in setting up my tank. i used to have a few frogsfish in my tank until they got too big and started to eat my purple tangs. i gave them away in the end. as my start up was done by professionals. i was basically manintaining it . After running thur this forum, the pics here triggered my love for frogfish again.... looking forward to ur help.... thanxxx
