Agree. They are beautiful in the tank but better off staying in the ocean. -

Fishes for begginers
marine_boy38 replied to angelfishlover's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
I have heard that maroon clown is agressive but fish like people they have all kinds. I have one that is very big and a big softy, it never bother the others not even other clowns. I guess if space and food is enough that is no fight. -
Bro, maybe it is the food. I use to feed my Tang seaweed and the red kelp from CF. Sometime aunty give me the loose one without the rock. The Tangs love it. Try different pellet until u find one that is well balance and they like. I have not feed them vege for a long time. They are still going strong.

Six Line Wrasse VS Cleaner Wrasse
marine_boy38 replied to John Deroe Kenedy's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
Dont give up hope yet, I have warrase that I tot vanish for nearly a month then appears. Blue Tang is magnet for Ich. I got one that was a baby and now 6 inch long, sometime it will still get some ich. Try water and filter change to contain the problem. Cleaner warrase wont work and they just die because of their diet. -
Very tough fish, had tried before. Most of them dont feed then die. Once I got one to eat but eventually got white spot and die. Very beautiful but painly when it die. Now I keep Banner, nearly the same effect but easier. Got it from CF, had it quite long liao

clown fish keep on jumping out
marine_boy38 replied to carbangle's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
I think likely they are being chase by others thats why they jump. I have many different clowns before and still have. Never jump. is it over crowding? So far all this years only my yellow warrase jump because my maroon clown chase it. -
When I started I bought my bacteria from Clementi Ave 2 Shop. Can ask the aunty she will recommend

Can try feeding mysis shrimp for a while to get their appetite back first. Or try different pallet.
-
Maybe the pellet has turned bad already that why they spit it out.
-
butterfly are beautiful and no exp. They are easy to feed also they take mysis shrimp then slowly change to small pallets. But don't last for me. Stop liao

Nice. Does it harrass anyone? Those crawl looks scary

U may have a chance of catching it with a beta box, rubber band load the trap door attach the trigger with fishing line. Bite the beta box and they feed when the lights are off. Wait for it to go in then pull the trap. I caught my crab that way.

Lemon peel angel dead
marine_boy38 replied to fishyfishyfishy's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
It happens, maybe water change and reduce salinity will help. The parasite could be still in -
Ibox, very cool. Ya, what's the damage like$$?

it is very beautiful but cannot be kept with other fish. I had one before, the next morning i found half of the fish in the tank got chew up and badly bitten. Bad experience for me.

Growth of Blue Tang & Tomato Clown
marine_boy38 replied to Yang Kevin's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
My blue tank is already 6inch about 15cm, so yours could grow bigger if u have a bigger tank -
As long as the fish is small should be alright. When I have missing head counts I will reduce the feeding. They hungry enough they will clear the remain of the fish. The shrimps will take care of the rest
