Hi, just curious to find out how big is your qurantine tank? What are the equipment you use? I jus set up one 1feet tank for QT (after a few fishes up lorry). Wonder if this is too small?

AC fan bought from LFS. Cost ard $30. If water is splash on it definetly will rust.

for my 3 ft fresh water tank i use two AC fan operating 12 hours each. Able to keep temp around 27 - 28 deg. However need to top daily one small pail of water.

bro Nautical, is your config same as mine (input output in the same compartment)? Just now went C328 to look for suitable pump, came across a Dymax EPH2000 with 2000L/H at 40 watt costing $22. This pump can be use internal or external wonder anyone using it? Or any other brand and model to recommend (must be low watt and less $$)?

I saw some white stuff growing at the fin of my yellow tang. Is it fungus or parasite? how to cure? YT still eating fine.

yup all in the same sump compartmen. Does that mean if i change to higher flowrate it will not change anything? My main tank is always maintain at ard 25 deg.

your bill looks much higher is becos the month before PUB est your consumption. the current month PUB toke the actual reading that is why it is higher. a few more months your bill will stablise or you can call PUB during the est month to give them the actual reading of your electrical readings.

what is the wattage? does it come with a on/off valve? collection place?

does the color of the skimmate can tell who is more efficient? Currently i am using weipro 2013 and it is skimming very wet and dark green skimmate.

i dun know with a 1200l/h pump what the run time will be like. But i feel that a chiller should run something like one hour then rest an hour b4 staring again.

Hi, my tank is 3 by 1.5 by 2. I am using CL300 setting the temp at 26 deg using a Dymax 800 as the chiller pump. My tank temp maintain around 25 deg. However since day 1 (Sep 05) my chiller always run around 3 min and rest for 3 min then run again. My question is my chiller pump not correct? or my chiller got problem?

At first bought the Jebo 178 from auntie, bring home found the cover have cracked and notice it is way too big for my 1 feet tank. DC fan is much noiser. AC fan is quieter.

sorry to hijack the thread. Currently my chromis in my reef tank is suffering from ich and the stomach is bloated (one clown up lorry liao). It is near impossible to catch them. I have UV light but did not ON it. What can i do to cure the fish and prevent the spread of the disease?

is salifert also the same like sera with 2 bottles and a powder?

Hi, i currently using Sera calcium test kit. I found it user unfriendly. Got 2 bottles of solution and a small bottle of powder. Need to mix bottle one first then add the powder then count the number of drops of sulution from the third. Very troublesome. Got good recommendations? must be simple to use and accurate.

i think there is some with multiple color at my neighbour hardware shop. Selling less than $10.
