hi, does the position of the md40 affect its performance? I tried using the md40 to be a return tee off to a weipro 2011 skimmer. The tank is a 2.5 feet with IOS. The pump inlet is connected to the IOS from over the top of the tank. However it is unable to suck the water from the tank and it gets really noisy. Is is becos the pump is on the same level with the tank and trying to suck from the top of the tank? Later i use a dymax 2000l/h external pump it does not have this problem.
