  1. in my opinion, yes take they out, and run it for about 2 days, and then see if the levels will drop. then decide what to do.
  2. Interestign because I have 2 of these in the sump. and They are in my opinion, awesome as we can see they eating the food in their guts.
  3. great idea and bery interesting. but by the way what do aiptasia eats?? just give sunlight and marine water - thats all????
  4. Your tang may not survive very long in such a small tank. Better sell it away to a better bigger tank. My powder blue tang ($25) had the same fate - and I learn my lesson
  5. I jsut started a 1.5ft tank in office too. Cycling now. Will start thread soon. I will personally stay away from anemone because of twice unsuccessful attempts with them. My tank will be with mushrooms, yumas and fishes (only 2 clownfishes). cleaner shrimps and hermit crabs.
  6. Nice!! An inspiration to me. Well Done.
  7. Is it that you just bought zoos? If yes, then these are pest. Kill them by put zoos into plain fresh water 10mins to kill them. For those crawking adults, suck them or pick them up and then throw into fresh water. Will eat and destroy yor zoos colony.
  8. Great work brother. My tank coming soon.
  9. as promised, my clownfish with featherduster - very sorry for the poor picture quality - reason - the clownfish will not stay on featherduster with the main tank lights on. And the clownfish is also aware that I am going to take picture so he will swim away. after many attempts these are the best 2 pictures.
  10. I offer you $20 can? Is this good enough for me to see my yuma flurosence?
  11. Then you kept them in seawater for 3 months with nothing else in the tank? Ok lah, can I go and pick them up thi sweekend. Please let me know. Thanks.
  12. Can I have it please? any danger to soft corals????
  13. This time scoop out the small shrimps and try to grow them bigger, then you can identify which types it is.
  14. In my opinion, your tank REALLY ROCKS!!! Really cool with all those yumas. Btw, I am a teacher and my project groups students are going to start a tank and then they are going to learn to grow and frag mushrooms/yumas/rics etc for their project. So I hope that during your rescaping, if then of the yumas drops off, can you donate to me please so that I can let my students "multiply" it for you. The school is in Hougang. Thanks.
  15. Sorry where can you based? which part of Singapore? Thanks.
  16. Read the few pointers about starting a new tank. There are 4 different filtering system in marine tank. use the one that you are comfortale with or come up with one that you can afford. Currently I am doing a Berlin-style without many of the other additional add-ons but I do have algae in my tank (Smithsonian). So do whatever works for you. Starting_a_marine_fish_tank.doc
  17. COOL. I like the way you scape the rockworks. Lots of space. By the way, damsels may be shy now, but when settled in, may be aggressive to other fishes later. Clowns are always my favourite too.

cool looking lights. Great idea to combine the 2 sets of lights together.
  19. It is nice to know that Singapore has a few nice public marine tanks to show off our tropical locations and the colours of marine fishes are so much brighter than those of fresh water. Keep those pictures coming. Thanks.
