  1. can draw a sketch, don't understand your question
  2. This is NOT a workshop for couples getting married. This is a workshop for MARRIED couples. It is not all that religious, but rather workshops/seminar breakout where lessons will be taught, there will be lots of sharing between couples in your groups to let each other share how your marriage can be further improved, of course, there will be fun and games to allow couples to break the ice. In my opinion, overall, a very good time to hangout with your spouse.
  3. You can come and attend a marriage workshop organised for married couples at Punggol this Vesak Day holiday - Friday. Starts 9.30am to 5.00pm Lunch and Tea provided at $15 per couple. Join and Join us.
  4. In my opinion, why not?? Better be safe, soak the rocks for about 1-2 weeks in a pail with sea water, run an air pump so that the air and salt and whatever dirt, bacteria can be balanced. Then can put into your main tank, of course you best get som elive rocks to add into your marine tank. The fresh water rocks are different from your salt water rocks. The SW is "live" and is full of "holes" while FW rocks are normally granite or some other "solid" type so is used as decoration or to add bulk to the overall landscape.
  5. Totally inspired. I need to research more before I try my hand at keeping seahorses.
  6. erh?? where you buy these damsels??? I am looking for some red coloured fishes for my tank - your damsels are red and colourful. I have a damsels only tank. Have already blue, yellow, need red. Please advise, thanks.
  7. UpZ for you. Hope you can sell it soon. Cheers and Have a great May Day holiday.
  8. Tried that for a while. Did not like it because you get to view the message on the same page (good) but the advertisements is a lot alot (BAD). So at the end ads drive me back to the same traditional Yahoo orginal. I will give the Beta a miss unless I am forced to go to the new Yahoo Mail.
  9. Your tank is one of the better Modified DIY documented tank. Thanks. I am looking forward to your pico skimmer. I also thinking about DIY one. I am a school teacher thus I have access to acrylic and have been thinking of doing one with a small powerhead as the main pump. It will be based on the vernturi effect. Let's exchange tips. Visit my tank at http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...topic=45280&hl= Please give comments there.
  10. I use a used/expired credit card and stick my hand inside to scrape - comes off clean with just one scrape - this way no worries that the metal will scrape the silicon at the sides. yes it works try it
  11. To remove coralline alage - good old credit card and lots of elbow grease - go inside and scrape with the plastic. Water mark - use a clean damp cotton cloth - wipe the glass with it. Let ii dry. Note Clean damp cloth and let it dry naturally.
  12. In my opinion, I started a 2ft tank with sump, with around that budget. Actually when I started I had no budget, just as little cost as possible. I started with a 2nd hand 2ft tank - cost $40. It came with some live rock and sand, lights. I then purchased lights (2nd hand) at $170, then Weipro 2011 & 2014 ($30 & $40 - also 2nd hand), overflow piping ($20) DIY my own sump. No chiller because expensive. If you have no space from sump, get a cansister filter (got 2nd hand $40). What is new or 1st hand are fishes, although I managed to get several fishes FOC from fellow reefers. In afterthought now I thinking if can find very good lobang for 3ft or 4ft tank, I will go for it - as this will give me more water and more stability in the tank (water parameters) Instead of dropping $400 into 1 tank project - suggest you start small - 1.5ft first. Not too many fishes, then learn about this hobby. Then slowly have more money than upgrade later to bigger tank. Better to be FOWLR instead of buying chiller for the corals.
  13. Sorry bambaba, due to distance and timings, I have already purchased another external filter from Yahoo Auction - same price. I just wanted a external filter from a marine tank at my school for my students to do some softies (mushrooms/yuma) cuttings. So since this kind chap deliver it to my school, I will not be reserving that one. Good Luck on your sales. Cheers.
  14. Whoa, Impressive for a new tank - Great job for a new tank - I also bought a powder blue - lost them to itch - powder blue tends to bring itch into tanks. that's why i avoid them. Keep pics coming.
  15. where are you from? from your pic, seems there to be two powerhheads, one for input, one for ouput to sump/cansister??? Good work. Keep more pics coming.
  16. There are NO 24VDC LEDs, so no way to use current transformer. LEDs run on 6V okay, so better to buy proper LEDs from Sim Lim Tower. i bought a whole line of 30 LEDs (blue) with power supply at $22.
  17. Sad Sad Sad just after taking this picture in the morning, I went away for half an hour, and came back to find this firefish on the floor. Of course I picked it up and only to discover its body floating in the water. It has been in this 1ft pico tank in my office with the dottyback, been chasing and having a "fight" every day when they appear for food. Yes, the price of a Purple firefish is about $8-$10 each while a normal firefish is only $4-$6. It is sad to see such beautiful fishes jump out and die. Yes, of course I know that they can jump, that's why I have a plastic cover. I also give a little gap so that there is some ventilation - keeps the temperature down. So this fella must have "aim" accurately then it jumped out and flopped around a bit before landing on the floor. Poor Thing!!!
  18. great work, keep the pics coming. Great to see your FINAL tank.

  20. Great job on your tank, seems challenging with the layout. But so far so good with the scaping and the setting up. Keeping senting in the pics.
  21. Maybe show a pic of your tank (a full tank shot). I know there was once I did a re-scape by rearranging the rocks, then the firefish of course hide into the rocks. And then after 2 days, I did not see it. So I panic and have to physically take out most of the rocks, just to discover that they are hiding under the rocks. They can really really hide. There was this one other situation where I went to a fellow reefer house to collect corals because he is closing hsi tank due to house-shifting. I wanted 2 of his firefish. He then proceed to take out his tonga branches and live rocks, managed to catch the 1st, but cannot find the 2nd. His tank is only a 2ft, after taking out all the rocks, still cannot find the firefish - it appears to have vanish into the thin air. Just to ask, is the fish hiding somewhere, or you have some other livestcok that catches and eats small fishes?
  22. I had 2 red firefish and 3 spotted cardinalfish once. The firefish no problems, just provide places in the live rock where they can hide in else when chased or frightened, they will jump out of tank. The spotted cardinalfish is also chased, then they hide. Unfortunately, 1 died due to lack of ability to get food after 2 weeks. Now the remainder 2 has not problems. They co-exist happily with my Blue Tang, Foxface, Rusty Angel, 2 clownfish, 2 gobies. I guess if you have bigger fishes, they will chase the smaller ones.
  23. I have 2 in a 1ft Pico tank, no problems.
  24. Good, just wrote to Janet. Any idea how much is each at AquaMar***?? Thanks.
