  1. Hi all, I have a friend who is selling a 2ft cube Tank. Please offer me a good price. The tank is now cleaned and ready for collection. I will post pictures soon.
  2. Hi all, I have a Resun Chiller CL650 - selling on behalf of a friend. Only chiller unit. Please offer me a good price. Will post pictures soon.
  3. In my opinion, if possible, catch it and throw in the sump or give it as food. Because when they grow bigger, they have the strength to move your live rocks.
  4. They are brittle stars - some like a starfish - a sand bed cleaner - honestly they don't survive very long in my tank - normally about a day - so I normally don't bother to take them back - only to realise that I will kill them later. I will release them back to the sea.
  5. saw your Prizm Skimmer. are you getting any skimmate? When I tried running my Prizm, it was very miserable, the output was not even tea-o, there was like no nothing at all, and when I tried tuning it, there are a lot of micro-bubbles produced as a result. Can you advise? Thanks.
  6. how much do you want to sell?
  7. Can give for my secondary school marine tank? I think the school tank really need a skimmer as the water condition needs to be more stable. My school is in Hougang. It is a 2ft tank, without a sump, so this hang-on skimmer will be great! Will come to collect. Thanks.
  8. I think the 1st photo - those could be glass anemones.
  9. if ok, can I collect from yu. Is this suitable for a 2ft tank? I can DIY a stand for it.
  10. I thought if you want to cool the water without the extar cost of a chiller, then go for this option: the Dolphin mini chiller, there is this post WTS :two Dophin M789 Mini Chiller http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81124 I am aware that this chiller is not very effective but in term of cost vs effectiveness - this is better than nothing. If cost but cooling of a 2ft tank, then this is a "low-cost" option. Topping up 7 litres of water will create haywire on your water parameter every day. Unless you have a auto-water-top-up device, then this will be ok. But each day 4-7 litres in a lot.
  11. Sorry to hijack thread. 22 Aug is super low tide = -0.1. We are intending to go somewhere else. If you are keen can PM me. We can arrange something.
  12. Yes I know, but with a 2ft tank, space is a bit tight without affecting other fishes. Will shift them apart when one of them grows bigger.
  13. Can you assist in identifying this "coral"? It is the bright green one. It takes in market prawns (small cutted pieces) into the "mouth like a aneomone. the "bumps" are a little "sticky" if you touch it. Is this a anemone or a big mushroom or a yuma? Thanks.
  14. I think your idea will work. My curent tank is a 2ftx1.5ft one on top of the other. the top tank is the main "display tank". The bottom is filled with a bucket of live rocks and coral chips. The outflow goes into the bucket. There is the room for the skimmer and then the return pump back up to the main tank. There is volumes of water and lots of live rocks. This way I only do water top up. No chiller. Using PL 2ft lighgts (2 white 1 blue) and the setup is good. The only problem I have is that even damsels can out grow my 2ft tank as my main 2ft display tank also have quite a lot of live rocks. For you, which will be your main display tank? The "tall" one? I believe this does have more swimming area for fishes. Keeping posting, I am subscribing.
  15. Option A is a good choice if you want to go FOWLR. BUT please note the thickness of your glass especially if it is 5ft. Does it have bracing in the middle? If it is meantt for freshwater but now you are using it for marine water, the thickness of glass may nt be thick enough. In my opinion, both of the tank also can. It really depend on you. For FOWLR tank, the depth does not really matter as this will only affect the depth of light penetration. It also depends on what type of fish you want, if you want tangs or angelfish, then a longer tank (Option A) is better as they will swim left to right. If you are keeping others type of fishes, then Option B is ok as well as they have the depth to swim in. Happy reefing.
  16. Pls post a picture - it will help your sale! Bump for your sale.
  17. When we first come to sgreefclub, we wil see a pair of firefish. Or I did a search there is this fish called "Singapore Angelfish" http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_di...&pcatid=336 else I believe all of us did have the commonclownfish before, perhaps they can be selected as our logo? so 3 choices, firefish, Singapore angelfish, common clownfish.
  18. what ever it is, it should be flush down the toilet! I guess that it is some sort of worm, something like a bristle worm. SCARY!
  19. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79905 rapalla's tank in his office. If you compare the size of the tank, it is about the same, his being a square, mine being a circle. Perhaps I just want to put in 1 fish. One other question what do feather-dusters eat ?
  20. I want to find out if I want a successful marine tank in my office, what are the setup I can do. This will be my 4th attempt - all semi-successful as Pico tanks takes a lot of effort and care. I have this glass vase (from IKEA) and light from IKEA and a hand-on filter. I intend to set up a small Pico with this. I am thinking of putting what type of fishes and livestock. I am not really thinking of putting much other than some mushrooms and perhaps 4-5 tubeworm (feather-duster) to create interest. For fishes perhaps just 1 fish (either a common clown or a yellow-tail damsel). The Tank is about 10 inches high and 6 inches diameter. As I am not always there - on holidays etc, I want a "super" low maintenance tank and super hardy fish but yet alert and active so the clownfish or damsel will be suitable. The feather-dusters will be forming a "palm-tree, coconut tree" design for me with some live rocks in the background. Any comments?
  21. Sorry Brother, I just want to clarify this issue. I think that Sheng Song supermarket will kill the abalone for you. But as yours are from Pacific Reef, then they are as least certify reef-safe.
  22. Sheng Song Supermarket can also buy Abalone. Is this the same or yours are for marine. Sheng Song sells those for food? Sheng Song says that they wil kill their fresh seafood and not to sell as pets?
  23. SMS you already my number is 9641****. Thanks.
  24. or you can cover your tank with "eggcrate" - this will allow light and air but can prevent fishes from jumping out - unless they "hole-in-one" then no choice.
