  2. I am a teacher. I am currently attending a church in Punggol. For my Sunday School service on Children's Day, I am staging a play - the Noah's Ark. So at the last part, where Noah sends out 2 doves to test if the land is dry, the surprise for all the kids is that a radio control helicopter (perferably a pair of heli) will return back to the stage. I wanted to do this myself with a co-axial Lama or some fixed-pitch helicopter (easy for beginner) but due to wanting to start hobby properly and with a tight budget, I am still considering which model to buy and start this hobby. So for this part of the play, I will need 2 kind volunteers to assist me in this. The actual play will be on the 24 Sep about 10am in the morning at Punggol Central in the church building. Total kids about 100. fly from back to hall to land on stage. can incorporate some action if you are okay to do it. I will learn to fly and so next year I can do it too. Contact me at 96419855 or email cdckjn2002@yahoo.com.sg thanks so mcuh for your help. If you know of anyone who can help, please forward this thread to them.
  3. best if you are in the army - do it there. FOC - and got at least 7 days MC. can relax at home. If not, then burn a hole in pocket as outside dentist charge rather high.
  4. Interested in your livestock. FREE: 5 Livestocks - 2 x Maroon Clown, 1 X Brown Tang, 1 X Angel, 1 X Unknown.angs etc can give me?

    Maroon Clown

If aeroplane, can I can 2nd in queue I want this for your son - he starting his tank soon. Son in Primary 2 helping him during the Sept school holiday. Thanks.
  6. I believe this tank setup can be viewed at Tekka mall, the Seng Siong Supermarket is at the Basement 2. Very Very "fresh" seafood.
  7. I feed them pellets, once a while with brine/mysis shrimps. Once a while, some of the macro algae/seaweed that i got from changi beach which is growing in my sump. The foxface seems to love that a lot.
  8. the copperband butterfly is quite effective with smaller ones. The bigger ones in my tank is still around. May have to try the "lemon-juice" injection for larger ones- need to buy a springe for injection.
  9. You are right about the cycling. they stopped putting the nicer fishes already. They just have a clown and lots of damsels. I guess they are waiting for the tank to cycle. The sponges (blue and orange) are almost dead by now. There seems to be an antapsia invasion waiting to happen and I have seen several popping up everywhere on the LR now. I thought that they would have cycled the tank at least before they opened it for public view. As the 1st few weeks, I have seen a lot of dead fishes and fishes eating the dead fishes - scared a few children. I hope that the tank would be cycled and then they can add the nicer larger fishes into the tank.
  10. Do you still have the hamsters? I thought of giving them to my son (age 8 years old) he would be thrilled as he is looking forward to taking care of them.
  11. just another CRAZY CRAZY idea. Copy from the fresh water people. The way they grwo the water plants onto the wooden logs. They actually wrap a plastic netting onto the wood, then allow the plants to grow over the log. This way the plants will then have something "solid" to attach themselves. Therefore in the same way. You can wrap a live rock with the netting. Then put it beside a rock with the zoos or star polyps. Then allow the star polyps to spread over. Then when that is successful, unwrap the netting and then place the netting upon the sand???? Can this work??? Give it a try and it it works you can name it after me. The "cdckjn" technique??
  12. as I stay near Hougang Mall, and my baby boy needs an evening walk, therefore most of the time, always end up there and he enjoys looking at a "bigger" tank instead of just my 2ft at home. It is so disappointing that even the orange and blue sponges are dying. I hope that the management will get so tired of the whole thing and just put "fresh water fishes". I just "hate" to see just a "big and beautiful" tank go to waste. By the way, I hope this does not get any company in trouble. But there is an indiction of which company "proudly" made this tank which is C* aqaurium. The label is at the lower right corner. I guess that they also have a contract to maintain this tank. Could we write to the company - as a form of petition - I just hate to see such a display of "ill-treated, dying fishes". My 2-cents worth
  13. The latest, all the clownfishes dying - sick? I saw several already died. The damsels are still ok, also they have a school of yellow/black stripy fishes (sorry don't know the names) the sponges are all dying, the rest of the other fishes seems still ok. I guess the best decision is to have a large "damsel" tank as the damsel can take the stress and to let the tank mature over time.
  14. any pictures please. It will help in your sale.
  15. will take if you can deliver to Hougang please?
  16. Great Great Great Good job for the 15G. It is not easy like most reefers would say, but take it slowly and built it up slowly. You will realise that sometimes somethings will work for some other reefers but not you, not matter whatever you tried. But so far your 15G is looking great.
  17. keep a tank like this??? http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...pic=50137&st=0& A damsel tank (lots of moving colourful fishes) hardy and full of action. With simple rocks and "plastic plants"
  18. Sorry forget to ask, what is the size of your tank and what equipment do you have to maintain 32 damsels??? sounds like a lot, a lot of bioload. Notice your cansister that you use, what about the lighting?
  19. resize for you. Please check that size of photos are 800x640 so that easier to display. Also, notice that your tank has plastics plants? Interesting! Also the orange sponges. NICE!
  20. I went there again to check the size, I think it is actually a 10ft tank. I compare that with the floor tiles - there are 5 pieces of that therefore each piece 24inch - total - 10ft. I agree that the soft corals are almost gone, the fishes a few don't look too good, the angels still ok. Hope that the tank is properly maintain. The temperature is quite high sometimes due to the recent hot weather. if not the aircon is quite stromg and sufficient to cool the water.
  21. In my humble view as I am not any senior, I have about 1.5 years of experience, having started and maintained at least 4 salt water tanks. The easiest and lowest cost with the lowest amount of equipment is Fish with Live Rock (FOWLR) and also many public tanks (refer to my thread - public tank in Hougang Mall) you will observe that they are normally always FOWLR. Very rather you see reef tank except those in the Science Centre and Underwater World where they can afford the higher maintenance cost that goes with these more beautiful reef tank. For my self, my LPS tank has now slowly become a FOWLR except the hardy few mushrooms that still can endure the conditions that is in my tank. Due to work comittment, lack of constant care and maintenance and lower cost, these mushrooms and fish can survive for about a year now. So in my view, FOWLR is the simplest and easiest to start and maintain without the high cost, efforts that a reef tank requires.
  22. It is located on the basement 1 at the new extension. Take the new escalator down (next to Macdonalds). The tank is at the other side of the wall of the escalator.
