  1. best not keep as crabs when they grow bigger will knock down your rockscape.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In7n590GjxU A very interesting article on cuttlefish and its awesome camouflage.
  3. You are lucky to have the starfish - they are safe.
  4. Can't wait when the whole sea is done up, will be the biggest fish tank in Singapore.
  5. I recommend that if you are into reefing and vivariums, frogs and other exotic creatures, this is actually worth a visit but the animals are not very very well taken care of, so as a person, I feel sorry that these animala have to suffer.
  6. I walk past about last year, they sell mostly freshwater prawns, not sure if they are marine fishes there as the shop is rather small.
  7. Hi, just visited Coral Wonderland at Malacca. http://coralwonderland.com.my/ the visit for Singaporean Adult RM40 while child is RM30, so price is quite high for a 40mins visit. The only nice part is the exhbit where you can walk in to feed the black tip reef shark as well as the hawkbill turtle (you have to pay for the feed). There are also a couple of videos in Youtube of the place. It is quite fun to as there is a touch the sea creatures area. The tanks of the fishes are quite healthy but I thnik they are having a "old tank" syndrome, where the fishes are dying one by one. They need to maintain it well as I start to see diatoms growing on their sandbed. They have a nice collection of about 5 tank with variety of corals but many are not fully open (I went in just about opening time in the morning - the first visitor) They have a little worksheet which you have to go to several stations to "chop" the answers, and upon completion to redeem a plastic key-tag. Overall is it worth the money? I rate it 2 shells out of 5.

  11. The acrylic stand DO looks weak. I really think you need more reinforcement. Better do reinforcement now, then later when tank is up, then realise that problems with stand starts.
  12. I suggest that you better paint the steel stand with another coat of paint, as th way you go, the saltwater will cause the steel stand to rust at as very fast rate, leaving ugly rust stains on your floor.
  13. I have a Weipro 9000 if you are interested. $65.
  14. For such a small tank, some small pieces of live rock is 100% necessary to help you mature the tank quickly. You can only put in small livestock like hermit crab or zoos or mushrooms.
  15. Singapore beaches has shrimpsbut many of these shrimps are not reef-friendly so unless if you have only a FOWLR tank, you will not want local shrimps (mostly snapping shrimps).
