  2. Interesting topic... did a search and found these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal
  3. Which hardware version is your WRT54G? Please count me in if the guy pulls out and if it is h/w version 3.
  4. Yah, it got some disease and died after that. Luckily her bf was fine...
  5. I don't think so. I read the temperature requirement of anemones and it's around 26 degrees. I can achieve this with a fan. Best is to get a chiller in the long run.
  6. I wear gloves not because of the sting but because of the slime they give off! Yucks! Damn smelly! The stink lingers even after I used soap to scrub my hands...
  7. A bro has offered 10 bucks. Anyone else is interested?
  8. I'm using a 1300L/hr pump for my 2012 right now.... damn sad. Looking for recommendations as well. You want a 2300L/hr pump? I'm selling it here.
  9. Hi, I found my WH-3000 pump (2300 litres per hour) a little too big for my 2 feet tank, so I'm selling it. You can find a picture of this pump (and its specs) here: http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33914 I do not know the market rate of this pump so I can't offer a release price. Interested parties please post your offers here instead of via PM. Thank you!
  10. Hi, I just got a Weipro 2012 skimmer and a gigantic Weipro WH-3000 pump (2300L/hr), a set from a bro here, for my 2 feet tank. Since I don't have any sump or overflow box, I couldn't use the WH-3000 in my tank. I'd like to find a suitable pump that is reasonably small yet powerful to support the 2012. Preferbly the pump can be stuck to the tank wall. Any recommendations? Thanks!
  11. There's this shop Sim Lim Square that sells LEDs very cheaply. It's on the 2nd or 3rd storey, and is surprisingly cheaper than the shops in Sim Lim Tower.
  12. Learn to resize easily, here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/d...eschelman2.mspx
  13. I used to have an algae blenny and it looks like this: http://www.saltwaterfish.com/m-fish/Lawnmower-Blenny.html
  14. Jebo 180. I have it now. It comes with a 1100L/hr pump. But I don't think it is good enough for 3 feet.
  15. Yes, bluezing is collecting the skimmer + pump on my behalf. Please kindly advise the collection time and venue. Thank you!
  16. No lah, when you slowly, tenderly tear the seaweed into small pieces in front of your tangs, they will be able to see your love and effort.
  17. My brown and sailfin tangs LOVE the seaweed (those found in yong tau foo and steamboat)! First, I dip the seaweed in the water, squeeze them for a while until they are soft, then I tear them into 1cm long pieces, and throw them into the tank. The pieces of seaweed is then pushed around by the current and that will get the attention of my tangs. They will "fly" over and slurp the seaweed in very quickly! And what's more amazing is that my golden maroon clown and my fire goby eat the seaweed too! But they are not as enthusiastic as the tangs when it comes to the seaweed.
  18. Just an update. My new brown tang and sailfin tang got ich in day 1 and I applied the freshwater drip treatment twice a day for 3 days. Then... they recovered! Yay...
  19. The faster the blades spin, the larger the blades are, the faster they oscillate, leading to a higher frequency of the sound produced (high pitch vs. low humming) as well as higher amplitude (louder). Hence, the sound is more related to the size and speed of the fan blades, rather than the energy source.
  20. Sometimes you do not need that many fans. For my 2 feet I'm using a 80mm fan running at 40% capacity (5VDC instead of 12VDC), and I am able to achieve maximum cooling (26 deg). As long as the air above your tank is moving, evaporation should be optimal. You do not need strong wind hitting the water surface.
  21. Try C328. They have quite a few types of PL. I saw before 9, 11, and 55W there.
  22. You can find anemones in shops along Pasir Ris farmway 2. But as always, anemones are not easy to keep. If they die in your tank, you'll have a BIG headache.
