  1. There is a new virus around!!! It is called 'work'. If you receive 'work', from your colleagues or boss via e-mail, do not touch it under any circumstances! This virus completely wipes out your private life and your will to live. If you should come into contact with 'work' put on your jacket and take two good friends to the nearest pub. Order three beers/wines and after repeating the process 14 times, you will find that 'work' has been completely deleted from your brain. Tell this warning immediately to at least 5 friends. Should you realise that you do not have 5 friends, this means that you are already infected by this virus and 'work' already controls your whole life.
  2. Those are actually the nuisance algae, just use a toothbrush to brush them off. Normally due to excessive nitrate / phosphate. Exposure to sunlight may be one of the cause 2.
  3. I do have this problem 2 ! But seems more like fine debris instead of "eggs". Luckily it is only 1 LR doing it .
  4. Do seems to me like the packing style from Rain*ow. Saw them packed like that before for customers.
  5. Have read thru different webbie about the functions of denitrator - it seems to be good at reducing nitrate and hence the need to change water regularly. But the question here is : Is it really that good? Just to check whether anyone using it - kindly give your comments on it. One of the links : The Denitrator
  6. Goodness!! You actually started marine when I am just born !!
  7. Can get the temperature down 1 - 3 degress average, depending on the number of fans used. But lots of water evaporation ..
  8. they do lah, just that they are not compatible with smaller fishes and shrimps, which will end up being their food...
  9. I will recommend those blood shrimps from Henry- somehow tend to be more stable and hardy. Mentioned before that he imported from a different location (I forgot the place, anyone pls?). Though some webbie mentioned that the blood shrimps are relatively strong and hardy, I do heard a lot of friends that they seems to be more sensitive and will rather prefer a lower temperature... maybe it is the experience that counts...
  10. According to what I have read, they are not so hardy, and do not have a good track record.
  11. Air, First of all, the orange sponge should not be on top, as generally sponges prefer less lightings. Maybe you can try swopping the orange sponge and buttons around. Your sea fan is not getting enough current from what I see... other than those that I have mentioned, the rest should be alright. Nice structure done!!
  12. Please pardon me for my ignorance... still thinking that the weipro only offer two lightings.. Yes, do agree with the others - your tank is indeed a nice one, just that the elephant ear is a little too big. How old is your tank now?
  13. I know coz I have one too! (for my FOWLR tank) I'm just puzzled about you mentioning that you have 3 lights.. anyway, the lightings are great, but can only be used for shallow tanks lower than 50cm in height (considering you have corals), coz it is running on FL tubes only. Once the tank's height hit above 50cm you will need to consider using T5 or MH.
  14. Are you using the weipro lightings?
  15. Hi Seamonkee, suggest you skip the angels you've mentioned for a start, as they are better off with a mature tank. Once your cycling is completed, you may want to try clownfishes or damsels as they are generally more hardy. Note that they should not be introduce all at one shot to the fish tank (let your tank accomodate to the bio load slowly) - should add one by one slowly at intervals of a week or two.
  16. Best wishes & have an enjoyable day ahead!!
