Bro. Not all led offers replacement light pad de. So easier to buy more wattage than u need and buy new light set after two years. Yup, it is a very nice and relaxing sat afternoon to watch slow cloud moving over ur tank and watch the fish and coral react to the passing cloud[emoji41] -

Yo bro. Led also have timer and dimmable controls plus all those fanciful mode like thunder, cloud, etc. Lifespan wise, led is 50000 hours or something like that. But led can lost up to 30% of their intensity in a year. -
Feed anti bateria too ah

asg replied to woyeng**'s topic in Sell off/Pasar Malam Shop
Urgh... non transferable warranty oh, then i would rather go buy china led than any of the hydra lemon series... -
Bro u can try feeding its dr g anti parasite and anti bacteria caviar.

The cue is the stomach. If your fish stomach is round and solid then it shall be fine. A fish can be eaten well but its body might not absord any nutritent due to parasites thus its stomach is important.

Yo Bro, care to explain more of your case for the benefit of general public (reefers)? -

I am speechless... Sorry for your misplaced trust. From what I learnt from your case in point, I would rather buy direct from the original official site (with global warranty) than buying from local distributor next time... at least if gotten a lemon set, I can still reason it out with the official site... save me time and save me money too. -

28/04/15 - SPS and Zoas As usual, FTS for this update Somehow, my updates have changed from a weekly update to a monthly update liao. Partly because I have been traveling quite a fair bit for the last months but also because I have already gotten most of my coral in place so there is not much I can buy or play around with. Two particularly painful incidents happened in the last month, 1) My chiller was down for half a day (luckily I am in SG for that day). Temperature shot up to 32.X degree and by the time I got home, several LPS has melted compare to only one SPS (BN) has peeled. Funny tho, I always thought SPS are the more vulnerable one. 2) During one of the weeks when I was away, the HOB canister that I linked that output to two FR (housing bio-sphere and NP bio-pellets) died. I did not think much and just restart the canister after I get home. Big big mistake. Tonnes of hydrogen sulfide was released into my tank. The whole tank smells like century eggs. Three fishes die almost immediately. On top of these two stupid incidents, by and large I have a happy month reefing. GHA is almost down to 5%, SPS is growing, zoas are growing more so. Fishes are eating well. I guess I will spend the next few weeks buying zoas to fill in the gap between SPS and watch both them grow. Random photos and a feeding video as of 28 Apr 2015 (Before I am away again) https://youtu.be/mg-0kN-T3BI -

I think T5 is cheaper but LED got more features. Of course combination of both are the best. -
If it is physical particles then ur filter wool shall be fine enough to trap them. Or is it microbubble...
-
Video cannot see. Bro i suggest either u use AC or wash ur filter wool more frequently, depend on the root cause.

Medication safe around corals?
asg replied to M&M's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
Bro, can try doctor g anti parasites and anti bacteria medicated fish cavair. I find them useful. -
Bro, i think is ocean nutrient algae sheet. Most LFS carry them.
-
initial stage of cycling the tank better not run UN first, else will take longer for bb to colonize, after that running UN no problem liao.

what UV kills depend on the contact time and spectrum, but by and large it will kill any floating virus and bacteria in the water, and yes, it includes good bacteria too. how you put your UV in sump? is your UV is those exposed UV i.e. can see visible light de?
-
i on my UV 24/7... remember to change the bulb every 6 mths tho..
