  1. 99% of websites said it is not reef safe. Mine so far only poke my zoas and acan on off on off. Most of the time is eating algae. Hopefully both our flagfin turn out to be good boy ah.
  2. Yo bro, i just thinking of tennis racket string as tank cover...

    Float Switch

Bro, i dont understand. How to use float switch to control battery air pump? Anyway, just as insurance, at least buy a duo head float switch.
  6. High bioload = high fish waste = low PH. Act on the health of your coral, not on reading.
  7. [emoji23] still six more weeks till end of fieldwork report ah. Cannot confirm sure die or brown ah
  8. [emoji27] but i like fish and LPS more... SPS is like part time lover ah
  9. Bro, thanks a lot for your honest opinion. What get me started to try out SPS is just the thought of venturing and learning into areas where it is unknown to me. Frankly speaking, most LPS in my tank are pretty stable and are in auto pilot mode to growth, so are my fish (My doctor fish has started eating pellets for a week plus. So theoretically speaking, i can auto feeder all my fishes for two weeks). My main problem now is that if i dont try somethings new, i will be bored to death...
  10. http://www.brighthubengineering.com/naval-architecture/104494-effect-of-temperature-on-salinity/ Bro, u go this link. Click on the bottom hyperlink for the download of the conversion chart. See is this what u r looking for.
  11. Same as anthias, one by one slowly waste away...
  12. Google for a conversion chart for sg at 20 degree to whatever your degree [emoji41]
  13. Copper is for fish, trace elements for coral. So they wont crash. The question now is whether copper will kill bacteria. My feel is it wont, else all the FOWLR will crash liao.
  14. So long as the frags drop off or break during shipment, LFS will sell them.
  15. Fieldwork report: Week 2 (26 Dec 2014) SPS wise nothing much has change. For ease of reporting I am categorizing my SPS into three categories: Safe, maybe safe and RTN. Safe: 80% chance of it retaining its colour and remain healthy for two months (and thereafter) Maybe safe: less than 50% chance lah RTN: high chance of RIP... so below are my SPS status as of week 2 (26 Dec 2014) Safe: green millies Green, Orange BN and ridge BN Pointed acro Orange Gonio (Thank you the bro who sold this to me, the gonio is indeed as nice as what was shown in the photo) Maybe safe: 不开就是不开 RTN: Update summary The observation still pretty much remain the same. Green and Pink millies, BN, Green and Orange BN, ridge still has good PE, especially at night. While the acro team showing only a tiny bit of their polyps.... (ok ok, i know they are call SPS for a good reason, but this is really small loh) One funny thing that I have noted (or maybe is my hallucination) is that the RTN acro which I broke off one frag of it because of RTN (and the RTN has gotten to the base of all three frags). Somehow I think it has become healthier and the colour has become better once I put it on the sand bed. Hopefully it not a case of recovery and not my willful thinking... see you guys in a week time ne.
  16. Bro nice tank. But if you got direct sunlight thro the window u might want to shift ur tank somewhere else. Heat and algae no jokes to battle.
