Very nice Queen bro. Today i will present the title QUEEN SIAO to you Your new nick will be bro QUEEN HAMMY. Rock work ok for queen. Maybe add some other colour to make it more striking. Maybe a school of anthias, blue eye cardinal, Harlequin tusk. All this will not bother your queen.

Bro Earth your black clown is around 3 inches. Saw his fish 2 days ago very stable.

To answer for bro Orsony, Queen require optimum water quality to survive. a little water parameter change will see them fall ill. Those small pre pack angels at east LFS are likely to be juv koran, blue ring and blue lip angel, Try to avoid angel of those species below 3" and above 5 inches. Pomacanthus juvenile are blue with either circular or straight white lines. No guarantee that all angel sure survive in your tank. It depend and rely on 3 factors 1. proper selection( including quarantine) 2. your water quality( including not overcrowded) 3. Luck. pls refer to www.wetwebmedia.com under marine fish Fish index 3 to indentified the Juvenile pomacanthus family. Very difficult to describe the pattern.

Hi bro, My Budget for larger species angel is about $40~70. Looking for roughly the same size juvenile or smaller specimen (3~5") of another 1 or 2 different species. Anyone with good stuff to recommend For large size at $40 -$70, Probably emperor, majestic, blue face, six bar, Koran, blue ring from some of the eastern side LFS. The size is T-tiny below 1.5 inches S- small 1.5-3inches M-medium 3-4.5 inches L-large 4.5- 6inches XL- extra large 6-8 inches Show - 8- 12inches Jumbo- above 12 inches For those like emperor, the circular pattern started to change LFS classified as adult, likewise for Koran, Majestic as well as Blue face. I'll keep an eye out for any blue ring, I think look pretty good too but if it's too territorial then I probably give it a miss. All Angel fish are aggressive and territorial. BTW is the frozen feed that contains sponge really necessary for angel No, only the Marine angel formula sponge contain. Not all angel require Sponge to thrive, but it is best to feed them 2-3 times a week if available. Veggie flake, pellets is good enough. Angel that require Sponge are, Holacanthus, Apolemichthys,Paracentropyge( venusta, multi barred angel) Pygolite(regal) require 90% of sponge to have a higher survival rate. For Pomacanthus pellets and flakes food is fine but with veggie contain. From your description of your tank and system, 3-4 inches angel is fine. With live rock? Watch out for ick and velvet. Let the system run in as long as possible. Make sure the fish is quarantine or buy from reefer in this forum more stable.

you will not find Asfur angel in Indo-pacific. Asfur can be found in Arabian sea, red sea.

Recently, I face some serious problem with my tank. I added a box fish in my smaller sump as i use to hold my new fish in there. Due to old age, i had forgotten that i had a few damsels, a 7 inches French and clown fish inside. All the angels were doing very well. On Sunday morning i saw my box fish were dead with sign of being attack by those damsels. I started to realize my 7 inches French angel were very pale (almost to grayish white) surface gasping for air and rapid breathing. There were no sign of Velvet disease or white spot at all. Both main tank fishes remain brilliant and actively. I notice that my skimmer produce very tiny forms and had a strange smell. No2 tested 0. At first i suspect that it might be PH too low. On Monday, My naso tang was lying on the sand follow one by one from all anthias to flame hawk. In the afternoon situation became worse. My 4 Big queen turn pale similar to the 7inches French angel in the sump. One of the Queen sudden listed against the rock and die. Fishes in the tank was disease free. 60% of water was change and in 3 hours later, the colour of all the fishes regained back till the next day one more Asfur die and fishes began to reaction strangely again. So on Wednesday 80% water change again for both tank and follow by today another 25%. Situations improve. Don’t feel sorry for my loss, it was my mistake and foolishness knowing the risk of keeping box fish. Hope that thing will keep on improving and back to normal. Lesson learnt to all, if happen like boxfish toxic, immediately perform water change nothing below 100% less sump water with strong aeration. Possible move all livestock to a tub with 30% old water and 70% nsw for temporary holding. Once WC is done, move the livestock back slowly.

Bro you need to indicate the size of the tank you have, then candetermine what angel is suitable for your system. As a new in angel, bro Lemon reccommended Blue ring, yes blue ring are hardy but aggressive. Try those around 4 inches if you want.

Bro Javier, sorry for disturbing your thread. Bigbigfish, dont disturb my frend thread lah. but he is also well verse in freshwater fish. ie; Arowana, goldfish, cichlids, freshwater plants, plecos and so on....except i never heard he ever involve in guppies!Since when i keep arowana, and plecos Before FOWLR, he used to keep LPS and SPS then one day.....the angel stunt him and since never look back Never been successful with sps. Even Lps the most keep one year only. Heard that if you ever seen a guy in trench coat holding big plastic bag of fishes toying with a toothpick in the mouth walking out of Ah Beng shop(Pasir Ris), it could be him. Just to be sure, the trench coat must have alot of fish bite hole. (å°é¦¬å“¥ï¼‰ You watch too much Stephen Chow movie liao. Btw Bigbigfish won numurous composition and essay since primary school day. Quickly come back to fowlr la dont disturb ppl thread.

Very surpise to see bigbigfish suddenly. Faster come back.

All this pic were better than the previous one. The small queen has beautiful body.
-
Which do you prefer? M niger or the M indicus
-
I am not so much worry abt the aggression, i am afraid they become barber in my tank. Most of the beautiful angel depend on the long filament, just imagine, the trigger snip it and it become shorter. Haha.
-
Thanks. I am not sure with trigger at all. I only kept before a Queen trigger( brazil) clown trigger and Gold heart trigger. Anyway my wife anti trigger.
-
It was a love at first sight bro. Very unique colour. Thanks bro Terryz and bro lemon, i thought only Hawaii have this M niger?
