feeding for mine both on prepared food (henry's mix), cyclopeze... AND atapsia! maybe you can try that..

OK .. for guys using it .. tested .. works .. nitrate levels drop from 50ppm to less than 20ppm within 3 days .. but I was using it prior by dumping the bag in the sump .. didn't work .. now based off recommendations by Henry from Marinelife.. I had it put into an FR .. works like a charm .. but problem is you need to take out the bag for it to fluidise .. and when you do .. the small resins tend to flwo out of reactor .. making a mess of the tank .. lucky it's not poisonous .. as it got onto my main tank too .. and some of my fish thought it was food

trying to stick one onto my rocks.. now my hands burning and itching does the skeletons break off like fibreglass?? coz I know I crushed some skeletons while holding it in place waiting for the rock bonder to set.. pain n itch cannot tahan!!

its the way they are captured and whether they are feeding when you get them from the LFS. Your biggest hurdle is to get them to feed, and once that's achieved, the rest is pretty easy.. mine has been with me for almost a year now.. they are solitary fish unless they are paired up .. so don't more than 1.. even when they are similarly colored or shape .. they will attack the new comer

mine no need battery .. automatically clean the sand every night without fail .. costs only $10 It's called a sand dollar

put a brand's essence chicken bottle in front of the hole and put some bait inside .. like catching crabs .. if you can use a guide channel even better .. put the mouth of the guide near the hole .. let the aroma float into the hole . and watch it crawl into the brand's bottle .. obviously it takes a while

I agree that these gobies are only in singles or pairs .. here's the story of my gobies bought 2red .. both died bought 3 red and 2 purple .. left purple bought 5 red .. left 1 red purple gone also bought 3 red and 3 purple .. left 2 purple .. all red gone bought 2 red .. left 1 red and 1 purple .. been surviving like this until now .. sianz man .. think I'll buy helfrichi next according to Irwana .. they also same experience .. always left 1 or 2 ..

to anyone who is interested in culturing blue legged banded boxer shrimps My boxers (the shrimps!) has been spawning on a regular basis .. very sad to see the larvae becoming victims of the filter, skimmer and fish .. If you're interested please let me know so I can put them into a container and pass them to you .. every hatching around 100+ larvae .. gone in a nite observations they only spawn when I turn on the moonlight.. (or maybe then I can see them ) they only spawn when there's about 1 week of moonlight (sometimes I forget) they only spawn around 1am to 2am (when I come home on nite shift) looks like dirty water .. alot of glowing spots floating in the water .. they spawn once every month .. or 2 .. very wasteful .. and I'd love to see them grow big .. .. my next one spawning is my blue throats remind me about pairing next time .. sigh ..

acanthops .. I have it .. transparent tail ??? heard there's another african flameback that's not reefsafe ie the yellowtail?? very cute and reef safe .. love to fight with my blue tang though .. seems friendly baby fight types no torn fins just lots of chasing .. (both fishes about 2" only)

I have a clam with recessed mantle right now .. think probably because of stress or low light level (he was flourishing when I had my 4tube T5) .. any help in restoring the clams former flat wide open mantle glory?

hi minireef .. your clam is not gaping .. it's normal .. I guess how you interpret gaping depends .. coz all clams look like above .. Henry from Marinelife taught me a good way to tell is the shape of the hole .. if it's longish oval .. its not gaping.. gaping most likely is closer to round .. the other thing to watch out for is the translucent membrane between the shell at the sides .. if it's torn or stretched .. it's a bad clam .. Lastly if your cleaner is 'attacking' the clam .. it's already gone .. a disgusting way to tell before it becomes a nutrient bomb when you see this happening is take it out and smell .. you should smell sea .. if you smell rotten egg .. it's dying or dead.. Again .. gotta thank henry for this tip .. almost threw away a good clam .. BTW they get shell shocked too .. sudden changes in conditions .. and they can hide in the shell for up to 2 weeks (mine) ..

get a set of cleaning crew .. I find BB abit .. bare a 1 to 2" layer of sand makes an aquarium that much nicer (to me) I have 3 sanddollars flattening the sandbed every nite so its white and flat every morning I have a huge brittle that clears most of the craps, 1 strombus and 4 landscape artistes (pistol shrimps) that rescapes the sand during the day ..

dunno about adult size .. but my 1" went from a sickly fish to a 2.5" terror in around 2 months .. he's fighting with my acanthops now I've seen 6"+ and still growing .. I've seen them probably 8-12" in the wild ..

dunno .. I got a bunch of carribean seashells I dumped into the tank (since they were lying around the house ) and I put this really nice one next to the blue leg .. 5 mins was all it takes his crawling around now in a bigger shell and yes .. the molt did scare the craps out of me once .. kekeke .. They do need some help in an artificial ocean

Anyone can help on this ?? poor bleached yuma for about a month already .. seems to be recovering .. but not sure .. it was totally white at 1 time .. thot gone liao .. but now got spots of purple back .. very few .. and very slow .. sigh

alamak .. how you know its mine ?? anyway .. my request quite funny .. so should be the only 1 right now that is operating as such changed the combination though 1 blue plus 1 superwhite 1 blue spezial 1 blue actinic judging by how the dimmer works .. I maybe able to work out a circuit that controls the dimmer without buying the dimming module probably a simple dimming function .. not one that can simulate lunar cycle .. keke

What is enticing you to these FH(M?? ) properties ? I assume you're still DiNKy's and what Nakazoru say is quite true.. there's other outlays that you may not have factor in yet .. like kids Your income will allow you to stay in a HDB (take full advantage of the offers / benefits that comes with it) comfortably, be owning your flat in probably 5-10years .. and yet still enjoy a lavish lifestyle I'm considered lucky as I was able to get a new HDB before I exceeded the requirements .. and right now .. I don't have to worry about not having a roof over my head since it's fully paid up if I lose my job or something else .. It really boils down to needs and wants if you tell me you only need a place to call your own .. but you want something nicer .. kekeke just like reefing ..
