Hi bro .. congratulations .. on getting out of the frying pan .. here's some updates .. think you should go get the sun corals .. really worth it especially when they bloom While waiting for your rocks .. rescape the rocks .. abit .. so got a small 'table now to contain the @#$@)#( elephant's ear .. and some zoo and rhodactis .. and my one and only yuma And for guys curious about the 'red sun' coral from Jireh .. here it is .. though it looks more orangy than red to me .. poor thing looks sunken compared to my pumped up sun .. hello .. I'm using the Tunzo 9015 (refer to the post on tunze 9010) I found out that the skim is on and off (probably skimmed until no more liao ) about 1-2 day dump about 50-100ml .. The amount and type of skim (wet or dry) is also very dependent on water level .. as my skimmer is placed in the sump where it drops about 2-3" over a 2 week period (clogged filter at overflow)

I just started reefing last year .. heres's the breakdown of what I spent $420 2nd hand 3x2x1.5 tank with cabinet, sump, pumps and skimmer $150 for lightings $60 for rocks $60 for salt (enough for 2.5 tank water ) salt water from sea cheaper $150 for assorted cheap corals(zoos, mushrooms etc) and fishes (colorful types ranging from $5-15) total damage = $840 (wow .. still cheaper than a nano !! ) Of course after that greedy .. fish went from cheap cheap to expensive like wise corals also My 1.5 nano cube when I started cost me $400 total (spent about $100 replacing the fish that died because it's not easy to keep nano)

yep already matured and done liao.. constant 20ppm tropic marine.. the spike happened at week 2 and it dropped from there.. lost 3 anthias and 1 brown tang I feed everyday and based on previous experience, I have to change water every 1 to 1.5 weeks otherwise no3 goes above 50ppm and my gonio will not extend.. now already 1 month never change water liao

need abit of help on this .. also electrical guys whose good with this .. With the preset temperature, the chiller used t o work as advertised Just yesterday .. it decided not to stop cooling .. cooling the water down to 25 degrees and still going .. Disconnected and stripped apart the brain of the unit .. seems like the relay tripped and stays tripped to cool the water down permanently .. here's the strange thing when I finally decided it's the relay .. I disconnected the thermostat and the brain flag a fault .. and then I connected back the thermostat back .. walla .. it works as advertised again .. but here's the thing .. If I turn it off and on again ..with the thermostat connected .. it's stuck to permanent cool again .. I have to disconnect the thermostat with the power on to reset the thing .. HELP

I'm using a remote system .. where the sandbed is like 14" deep seems like the effects has kicked started .. 2 weeks no change of water .. and NO3 at 20ppm (tropical marine test kit) Feeding everyday .. I dump in some glucose .. the water no longer turn milky downside is PO4 super high now running a second bag of Rowa .. hmm .. maybe my 1st bag exhausted liao ..

the sand dollars rearrange my sand every night .. sometimes even the smaller corals on rocks .. .. clean and flat every morning .. The strombola eats the crap that the fish left behind .. The Sea hare eats the dirty brown thing every night .. it looks like CRAP but I've not seen it in the day My spiny brittlestar eats the leftover food .. my 'house' very clean every morning My algae blenny eats the stuff on the glass .. so glass also clean clean .. :D

think Marine Life has a couple handy everytime I'm there otherwise dunno .. see them occasionally from Ah Beng's .. Mine has paired up with my boxers (shrimps .. not my shorts ) interesting relationship .. kekekeke ..

ok 1 month .. (close to) nitrate 20ppm ... no change for 1 week already .. just wondering if it'll drop lower from now onwards .. Grr ... PO4 going up though gotta buy more Rowaphos

I've got a pair of blue legged boxers that's quite peaceful leh .. lives in a cave with my electric flame scallop.. never even bother my cleaner .. but I find alot of crab shells near them .. so I think they tearing apart the @#)$@ crabs in my tank BTW .. think the female is near to spawning

my blue eyed anthias now schooling with my perch it's about 1.5 times the size of the perch .. and its the newer edition

update test until hand pain 3rd week.. 20ppm with tropical marine kit 40ppm with sera test kit 100 ppm with tetra (ran out of it.. tats why now tropical marine ) seems to be working liao..

1 week expected .. 50ppm probably upward trend BTW feed schedule is everyday with 1 spoonful of Henry's mix .. that should push up the sheitz level big time .. suns, mushies, yumas, jewels still ok ..
