Yeah, my favourite hangout place too since primary school days when I first started out my freshwater tank. It is also their saltwater tank tat is outside last time that make me wanna try out saltwater. So, will one white and one blue T5 suffice for soft corals in my 30 gallon?? Am on a budget now, so I think I jus go for this dymax HO T5 first... Will change it once I am really into keep other corals like SPS and LPS. Thanks for all the advice, will take post pics for u all to view when I get my live rocks in T5 lights up. SRC bro's are all so helpful, really happy that so many ppl is helping me out. Will it be possible that I buy the dymax T5 fixture and change the tube to other kind that is suitable for soft corals? Thanks in advance for everyoen that is helping me out! Really need lots of help from expert bro...

It's a 24"x1.5"x18" which is 2 ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft.

I have set up a 30G tank with dechlorinated tap water and mixed it with coral life salt. The salinity is at 1.024 and I have a powerhead running in it, and I am not sure how many gph/h it is, but it seems the flow is enough. I would like to buy lightings for this tank, and lakeside aquatics say a 2 feet dymax T5 lights with 12,000K tube and an actinic tube is in the T5 light fixture. I am wondering if it is enough for soft corals or maybe other corals. Will try to take a pic of it and post it soon! Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all, Does anyone know where to buy the Nature's Ocean live argonite sand at the cheapest possible price? I saw it at lakeside aquatics selling at $49.90. It is possible to find it at a lower price somewhere else? maybe at farms? Coral Farm maybe? Any help would be appreciated.

My tank is stable at the around 27-28 degres celsius. The highest it will go is also around 28.5 degrees celsius. So, I think it shld be okay ritez? And do I need a sump for a 30G. Currently my tank is emtpy with just saltwater running with a powerhead. Getting live rock soon for my tank. Cheers!

thanks guys...haven been looking at this thread lately...I given up on my small pico which is 0.6 gallon. Now, I am working on my 30G nano tank....i think chiller or fan not needed as the temperature is quite stable...

Where can I get a decent fan to cool my nano? I saw alot of ppl using computer fans. But, how can I get it to be able to plug it into the socket in my house? Do I need some sort of converter and where to get it? My nano's temperature is now 30 degrees and sometimes even rise to 31.3 degrees celcius. What can I do? Somebody help!! I have a 6 inch cube as a pico reef. And I am wonder if anyone knows where to get a 50/50 lighting for it. I saw some clip-on type but I wonder if it will be able to have enough for keeping corals like mushrooms, zoanthids. Anyone can recommend where to find such lightings so tat i can keep mushrooms and zoanthids and maybe some other corals in my pico reef.

Hi, bros and sis... Need some help on keeping a pico. A couple of qns to ask. any help will be appreciated. Haven started yet, but planning ahead so as to not have any problems. I am planning on keeping a 0.6 gallon pico. 1)I am wondering if tap water will be fine? 2)Is Instant Ocean a good marine salt to use? How much will 5 gallon of instant ocean salt costs? 3)How frequently should I do water changes? 4)Will I be able to keep 1 clownfish in it? 5)What other things can I keep other than the clowfish? Like some soft corals and invetebrates? Any other important advices will be good too...
