I would like to draw the attention of bros out there to this article that I found on reefsanctuary.com, it is regarding the cycling process and it will give a lot of people why even though their tanks are so called matured still have got lots of green hair algae or the such. The cycling process is a very important milestone to the future of your reef tank. Read just the first post and I believe most of you will understand what I am talking about. For those not lazy to read, can read further, he have got lots of valuable information to share. He talks about how you can balance the algae vs anaerobic bacteria which is why although your nitrate and phosphate is zero, you still get lots of those green hair algae.. To summarize for those who happen to not get it.. Bascially, the green algae that is growing is the reason why you get 0 nitrate and probably 0 phosphate. And when that happens it is competing with the anaerobic bacteria for the source of nitrate. It order to let more anaerobic bacteria grow, you will have to prevent the green algae from growing. For you to do that, you will need to reduce light or completely block of the light in your main tank, so that the anaerobic bacteria can get most of the nitrate and reproduce faster. With the increase number of anaerobic bacteria, most of the nitrate will be gotten from them and leaving those green algae have very little nitrate to grow. OMG! There is so little information on this fish.. still can't find the answer to it's fish compatibilities with other fishes.. anyone who caught this fish tried to mix with other marine fishes?

haha.. thanks bro... but I have this fish for like 3 years already.. when I caught it, it was just a baby.. they can be found near the bridge of the sentosa beach there.. like a big swarm of it.. put net in then can catch a lot already.. now not sure still same anot.. the reason the tank is cycling a bit is because I shift to bigger tank.. use to be in a smaller 2 feet tank.. haha

Hi all, Have a 2ft(L) x 1ft(W) x 18inches(H) tank and a 2ft(L) x 1ft(W) x 1ft(H) tank and a stand for both the tanks for sale.. selling at $50 for all(nego).. please kindly arrange transport.. shouldn't have problem fitting into a car.. depending on what car, might need 2 trips.. Got also a florescent light(think is T8) and overhead filter compartment FOC.. also got one full pail of those substrate like soil for freshwater planted tank, can give FOC as well.. if throw away feel a bit wasted.. Please note the light set is not suitable for reef tanks, will only be ok for lighting up your tank for aesthetic purposes.. Here are the pictures.. The lower tank is the one with 18 inch height... Maybe can use this as main display tank and use the smaller one as sump or something..
