can see that you use many pipes to eventually reduce the size of the standpipe to the size of your bulkhead...so what is the size of your 2 bulkheads? 1 inch? with your twin durso pipe...what flow rate are u draining? if it's 2 bulkheads of 1 inch size each, max flowrate is 600g/hr x 2 = 1200g/hr or 4560l/hr hor...

thanks dodo: make my own ah....that means letting the tankmaker do his normal stuff like drilling 1 or 2 holes at the bottom of the tank,putting his bulkheads and then i do my own durso pipe and i shove the pipe into the holes? hehehe

Just to add...somewhere in this post someone mentioned seachem's denitrate...it is rendered useless in terms of denitrifying in high flow areas....there is a specified flow rate mentioned in the packaging in order for denitrate to work.... in my opinion..get the bigger sized Seachem Matrix....its bigger..meaning there are deeper microcavities in the *pebbles* for denitrifying bacteria to get into deeper areas....and its meant for canister usage (ie. good for fast flow areas) I am using Seachem's Matrix, Coralife's Nitrate Controller, Seachem's Purigen...to combat the nitrate problem that is unresolved after protein skimming...

Who makes such tanks? Normally tank makers make the normal kind of marine overflow without the durso pipe...which tankmaker has managed to incoorperate the durso pipe in its overflow already?

no....it belongs to the $50 leftover batches yesterday...a few in the tanks were starting to die already....but there are many in the holding tanks right at the back where they house the acros..... but most of those at the back belong to the green coloured mantle type...
