only acrylic can truely block off almost 100% harmful UV rays.....but they cannot withstand the heat from the MH bulbs...... there is only one model that either lexxan or plexiglass has that has high temperature tolerance...but singapore does not have that model of acrylic....even dama plastics dun have.... so if you are talking about glass...either the glass has a permanent coating on the glass like our specs to reduce UV or is a laminated safety glass with some UV filtering properties... all those tempered glass, frosted glass, all actually does not filter away much of the harmful UV....to my knowledge that is..but i may be wrong..hehe

from what i see....should be between 2 beams and that normally means your bottom neighbour's horizontal beam is supporting it...this should be very strong and stable.....can see from your photo that there is a horizontal beam above the tank...similarly it will be the same beam that your botton neighbour has... can take alot of loading

yeah lor...heng mine really not so bad....really hard to spot unless i scrutinize slowly..but your fren's case seem serious.... i mean if scratch left right and the back never mind..the front should be spotless...maybe he can get them to apply a film of plastic before transporting to reduce scratching....like those blue plastic film on some stainless steel products..hehe

yeah... the scratches is an issue i am concern about also.... mine also got minor scratches....wasted there are no glass polishing techniques around...only for acrylic my 4ft tank was great..silicon very nice..glass no scratch....that time maybe he not so busy...or rather..his factory workers in msia were not so busy then..hehe

yeah lor..there are real tonga branch and tonga-branch wannabes... those from coralfarm i believe..dun quote me on this....i believe really from tonga-fiji region....whereas other farms or LFS selling those australia branch rocks or indonesia branch rocks.... strain of live bacteria may differ slightly...will it? hehehe..but definitely the tonga branches are the real Lexus LX300 whereas the rest are Toyota Harriers
