  6. yeah..definitely both males.... i hope there wun be a fighting mandarin hobby soon...where little boys carry plastic tubs of mandarin to fight it out in a ring of water

  9. if just for companion, i'll get a stable puppy from a loving family.... definitely beats getting a puppy who have to undergo so many transitions, geographical dislocation, sometimes traumatic situations, before ending up with you...
  10. or can get from local source whose father/mother doggie are local show champions also..hehe...
  11. if u are getting unusual breeds...no choice but to head for farms..but if common breeds....you can consider getting from homes...tat's my personal view
  12. i cannot forget what i saw 6 years ago in a lorong halus dog farm, it was an early sunday morning before all the crowds came...say about 7am or 8am....can't remember...i was the only one there... i think they got so used to seeing me that when one puppy...poodle if i am not wrong, was barking and barking, one guy lifted it up with one leg and then threw the whole puppy down on the cement floor...quite a distance i must say and puppy must have been traumatised after that imagine what they do when we are not around 6 years later, now, i still cannot forget.....
  13. farms generally are in it for the business, to them, the puppies are just commodities....and the puppies are lucky they are not dumped around like some LFS dump the fishes on the floor...tat's simply because the puppies can fetch a higher price... whereas home breeders generally are people who love dogs in the first place and they are excited, happy and overjoyed to be able to share the happiness during the process of puppy-bearing with their dogs.... they tend to spend more quality time/love with their dogs and puppies than the commercial dog-business people... to the farms, dogs are just work.....to dog lovers, dogs are a great part of life out of work....tat's the difference...hehe
  14. actually i have seen some farms treat the puppies very badly last time....and had more chances to see some home breeders that actually take alot of care and pride in their puppies... so it depends lor....some home breeders are out to make a fast buck... whereas some are really dedicated and caring
  15. anyway bro, why u need 4 bubbles/second so much? wat is your effluent dkh? u need so high dkh to maintain meh? i using only 1 bubble every 10seconds now....still slowly increasing to match depletion rate
  16. yeah hor...mine is brass only...hehe .. er...but it's not in contact with water...need stainless steel ah unless you using it to control effluent rate then need stainless steel lor
  17. me really no expert at such blenny stuff...u gotta ask the grandmasters here...
  18. yeah....the male one has a high *thing* at the dorsal fin...like antenna
  19. yeah lor...see them fight fiercer than fighting fish....already seperated...dun worry...
  20. bro blenny is using the aquamedic shorty 5000 i think... needlewheel meaning there is an impeller with many fins that cut the air and water into very fine bubbles.... Deltec, H&S and aquamedic uses needlewheel method... AquaC is a whole new technique altogether...it is a spray injection method using high flow pass a moulded injector to create both large and fine bubbles there is no proven better technique than the other...each have its good and bad points....
  21. shouldn't be lah...damn violent u know ... i have to use a plastic tweezer to seperate them...they were biting each other's gill openings
  22. today found one mandarin that made its way into the sump and put into the clam tank....wah liew...royal rumble with the one in the clam tank.... R(A) for violence....i have separated them to prevent further damage to each other MOV02590.MPG
  23. not fighting fish...but fighting MANDARINS?? MOV02598.MPG
