  1. do a search on anthias in here...there were a few threads recently with info with your question answered
  2. actually some say that the box below the cylinder will cause burps...a simpler and more direct method is the one precision marine's skimmer... no box below... burping meaning...now and then there will be a sudden surge of bubbles from the box trapped at the corners of the box and then surge upwards and the foam on top will seem like its burping instead of a steady foam .... just my 2 cents
  3. yeah... 1 controllable...2 non controllable.. i should have just bought 3 non controllable...all the flow hitting each other will already produce random motion....no need to spend the extra cash on controllables in my opinion... but of coz the controllable can make better waves for some people...to me...if given a choice again...all non controllables for me
  4. [if money is no object, and you can spend as much as you want on a skimmer without making your house look like a giant protein skimmer] go for the deltec with 6 eheim needlewheel pumps.... ...i think cost about EUR3,699.00 ......means about SGD7,584.30 using 1 EUR = 2.05036 SGD since money is no object to you For Aquariums up to: Heavy Stocking 8000 Ltrs (1778 gals) Normal Stocking 12000 Ltrs (2667 gals) Water Throughput: 3500 Ltr./ h (778 gall/h) Dimensions: L: 680mm W: 680mm H: 1100mm so powerful until can maybe skim out the salt in saltwater to become freshwater just kidding
  5. yeah...needle wheel skimmers are more energy saving also...but process water generally slower than spray injectors whereas spray injection like becketts or aquaC need powerful pumps...but water turnover is faster than needlewheels which uses a relatively slower water feed
