wah liew..din know of this title... Initial D for me
-
anyway, have u noted when did ich appear in your tank? which fishes did it affect?
-
but the chiller will run less hard and less often if the tank is not heated up by ambient temperature too fast. anyway, we shall not dwell into that, as for who knows the true parentage of your tang, i can only think of one person who is a walking marine encyclopedia here...

anyway i remembered last time before tiles were layed in my unit...i used something hard like a hammer to knock the floor for fun and i realised that the floor of the balcony doesn't sound as dense as the floors in the living room...i must have been quite bored to do that...must have been waiting for contractor to come or delivery man to come and nothing to entertain myself in the empty place..haha anyway, even in the living room, there are some spots that sound more dense than other areas....the closer to a nearby wall, the denser the sound, as you go to the center of the room, the sound becomes more echoey or hollow...in my impression it was like that, i may be wrong though but personally i will never think of putting a tank in the balcony, coz it's one of the places of direct sunlight and even if you put shades/blinds/blackscreens there, the ambient temperature there is one of the highest in a house.

just observe the walkway whenever you go back home lor...anytime u start seeing cracks...then start to move the tank away lor.....so many things collapse recently, we also dun wanna see a reefer's balcony in the news... but if no cracks observed, then by all means carry on lor, after all, already been in place liao mah futhermore your place isn't those new fernvale units in sengkang where there are cracks even before people move in....for those fernvale reefers, better take care of your flooring

床头吵架, 床尾合 from the article above, it seems that blackcaps are generally found from 80feet to 120 feet under water.... not a diver myself, i wonder at mid day, what is the light intensity at such depths of 80-120feet? probably dark right? yeah..maybe feeding in the dark may help....but if they have found somewhere dark amongst the rocks in our tanks, they should also eat whenever you feed the other fishes....coz, to them, it's dark already...hehe

maybe they having some husband-wife squabbles...haha... never mind lah..as long they still alive, hopes for reconciliation is high...

yeah... i think the best medication is to let the fishes fight off ich themselves while you emphasize on improving water quality rather than stressing over what medication to use. medication, i personally feel, no matter how effective, will have some side effects, seen or unseen, so i dun use those anti-ich medication. often we should seek to remove the stress factor, be it aggression from other fishes, water quality or other factors.... dun just place your hopes on medication, and often those medication are either not effective in a reef tank or will cause collateral damage in a reef tank
