nothing much about it, just basically growing macroalgae that will take up nitrates and nutrients and harvest it regularly

i have 1 that is rather bold, quite often seen in the open....it was one out of the 3..dunno where the other 2 went, probably dead.. hehe i think deepblue has a bold one as well

u may have a combination of cyano as well as diatoms....more diatoms since u notice the browns more... not sure.....u can ask for more opinions

the last pic seems to have a film like look... can also be cyano...

ooops....bro....i wish u luck...hope u ask them to give each other a firm finshake and a cordial hug i still remember the sight when my black tang went into the tank, the yellow tang not only chase the black tang around...it was BITING on the dorsal fin of the black tang...and it held on the fin with its mouth while the black tang was trying to swim away...but the blacktang couldn't break free the poor black tang was literally pulling the yellow tang along as it tried to swim away with the yellow tang's mouth still biting on the dorsal fin. it was a sight i never forget...and its an experience he did not forget as well..... his fins have since mended...but he has been banished from direct sight of the yellow tang as well as the open waters that the yellow tang roams

yeah...the lightening of the skin is not unusual...know it sometime back... but i never knew bloodshrimps do cleaning also...this is the first time i saw... tat's why i quite surprised to see the bloodshrimp instead of the usual cleaner shrimps sorry..i sua gu....hahaha

er...it's already pitch black in my tank...i walked pass the tank and noticed my AT was more white than it's usual white colour with all lights off i used my camera's nightframing mode and flashed at the AT guess what i saw? 1/3

my AT always is the nearest to the glass compared to other tangs... maybe he just likes his photos to be taken... yours maybe a little camera shy...give him time...he will hog the limelight in no time

yeah..the AT so cute..i nearly could not see it in the picture...must go and look for the orange dot.. yeah...ich is always there waiting for a comeback....just means that level of infection not very critical when u dun see spots on your fishes...but it's there, i dun have a microscope, but trust me...it's there.. dun let up your guard

tangs with sps is not a problem bro, is how many tangs with sps and how big are the tangs...hehe... i can't imagine the CF tank with sps together with all the adult size tangs and angels it's a pool of toxic wastes for sps....

jie: chevy is already promised to dispar when i wanna dispose because dispar likes adult chevy....ok..when i wanna dispose chevy and if dispar dun want, then u will be next on the beneficiary list... as for clams, if really sell, will see if my fren rejects any or not...because he told me long time back if one day i am selling, he take all of them, no questions asked, just name him a price... so if he rejects any clams due to similarities with what he has or watsoever, then i turn to reefers here to rehouse the clams

yeah..dedication is an important factor... if no dedication, even got alot of money to burn, will leave the hobby in no time, if alot of dedication, even no money, will make this a lifelong hobby with a humble setup... er...the fren of yours not in here hor..... wat's he doing with the equipment of his?

Roidan's SeeSaw Theorem (RST) got equation leh...wait till i bring in all the betas and coefficients into this equation... kidding lah...everyone knows this....just not all newcomers to this hobby imagine it to be a seesaw

so if you guys find nutrient levels rising day by day, meaning LHS>RHS...means you have to increase the right side (export) of the equation by making changes to the variables on the RHS... and that often means....better skimmer...more water changes....more liverock.. or better still....reduce the LHS of the equation (nutrient addition)....remove fishes, less feedings...take out dead stuff whenever posible....if you can't make changes to the RHS it's like playing on a see-saw if the see-saw tilts to the left...then your tank nutrients levels will rise with no stop, if it tilts to the right, then the levels will drop.... if it's in balance, then u stay at your present nutrient levels
