  8. very nice pics sugi... get the Canon 100mm f2.8 USM Macro lens if u want to do alot of macro photography... one of the best macro lens for canon...very fast AF speed and very good picture quality. i may join the canon family too after my trip back from Japan in december. targetting 20D with the 17-85 EF-S lens as walkaround lens and the 100mm f2.8 USM Macro lens for fish photography
  9. it pays to have a keen eye for details
  10. ya.... just make sure u treat them in a separate container.... try not to nuke your tank....hehe
  11. the best is to remove them by siphoning... the way i do it is to use an air line as the siphon tube....and siphon them out...u can literally see the flatworm being stretched as it tries to cling on to the rics but yet being overcome by the suction..... or u can be lazier and just dip the rics in declorinated PH-matched tap water, u can literally see them float off your rics.....but dun dip too long...some rics dun like the dips
  12. there u go bro ... go stare at them when u are free...they move very very very very slowly
  13. i spotted some on your floridas as well... if u look at them long enough..u will notice they move slowly they are those small circles on your mushies..if u allow me..i can spot them out from your photos so that u can get rid of them
  14. joolye: that's a yuma for the first pic and u have flatworms on the yuma... personally i dun think they are harmful but they do look unsightly when they cover the yuma... i got them few months back...siphoned them out as much as i can and give some mushies a quick dip in dechlorinated tap water. but u may have to watch out as some mushies do not respond well to being dipped for too long the 2nd pic is a florida till now i think many are still confused over the names..both types are RICS (RICORDEAS) one is RICORDEA YUMA and the other is RICORDEA FLORIDA
  15. a number of bombs and landmines recently.. please thread carefully here is one of my bombs nuclear grade price
  16. hehe..yeah lor... must pack up the place neat neat before i go Japan in december and program my IKS to work well IKS? yeah..u are right... Indonesian-maid Kontrol System must train her to use the skimmer and more importantly clear the collectionTUB frequently. Afterall if skimmate floods, she is the one cleaning it, more incentive for her to learn and to learn well a reef-trained maid all the experiments are just like putting little gadgets on a car like new ECU, new race tyres, new intake manifold, new spark plugs...... maybe just a little performance increase only or may be quite alot..hehe
  17. not say young lah...already feel so old and lethargic already ie. really cannot tong pass 4am liao will retire to the mountain caves to pour tea for the mountain-hiding gurus true, never will i give up reefing unless really no choice...cos reefing is so much fun. so much fun to see the fishes and so many colours shimmering from the corals
  18. yeah..in other words using an arrow-head tapering tool to taper the hole will get the countersunk feature the pvc endcap is too thin to do a proper countersunk hole. a thick acrylic will be nice and easy to do the countersunk holes...just very tedius to do the holes one by one....hehe
