it's a good all in one camera but from an ex-user, i realised that i cannot bear to shoot reef at above iso200 on the f828 because noise issues start to set in...very heavy noise....whereas you could probably get away at iso 800 with a D70 with less noise. It's the inherent noise problem of packing too many pixels into a small CCD...whjch is why i went the dslr way. but the f828 has served me well, i am sure it would for you too. yo... u press SET and hold for 10s...then CA will appear and u press -, 2 times, so that it shows -2 reading then leave it....after awhile...when it is supposed to jump back to 29deg....it will correct it to 27deg liao... it is to correct the chiller reading to the actual water temperature

to me, the male dispar just have a reddish cap on the head....but the body to me is still as boring as the usual dispars... whereas bartlett's body u can see a fusion of colours on the whole body...and have those cute little pixel dots on the body.... just like art...some like oil painting, some like water colours...hehe some like B&W photos, some like colour photos...hehe personal taste lah

patrick: dump as much as u know that your anthias can finish them in a few minutes... less amount, more often is better than more amount, less often. bartletts have more character and are more fuss-free....i dun even feed cyclopeeze now...just throw in pellets and my bartletts share with my tangs....getting lazier even my sunburst and the lonely purple one are eating pellets... I give them no choice happy with my bartletts and i dun think i want to start back on purples again...one whole body of purple can be quite boring as time passes...at least bartletts are a palette of colours all on one body dispar: no lah..u are still the resident walking marine encyclopedia

yeah lor... take for example... teco 680/tw6 which is rated 1/2 hp...draws 420W artica commercial 1/2 hp ...draws 600+ W maybe can ask lightningstrike or cookiemonster to clarify for us how come all these numbers like dat...hehe

actually there's alot of confusion over chiller ratings....even myself also not too sure... anyway, the best is to test the live/neutral chiller wire with a clampmeter and definitely get the amperage and thus the consumption

all along whether tukas or pascalus... those with yellow bands are females....total purple colours are males... just that in a schooling pack when the males are missing, some of the females with yellow bands will lose the bands slowly to evolve to males to assume the place in the hierarchy yeah, those even tiny ones you see in lfs but with yellow bands, they are females....but if u keep them in a school for some time, u will notice some in the school will lose the yellow band to assume male roles in the school

dispar, u mixed up issit... pascalus is purple queen tuka is purple anthias but yeah...both are quite similar in colour yeah, mine probably are tukas....but maybe got some pascalus mingle inside also

seriously i dunno... it's like you introduce a ###### shrimp in a tank and then after a few months it MIA and slowly u also dun bother to look or hunt for it... but never mind lah... as the chinese saying goes.... 不在乎天长地久，只在乎曾经拥有。 and my cousin who always says after the above.... william you are right. in my experience, they thrive on small size food. cyclopeeze was my main food for them, along with a wide range of hikari frozen stuff. heavy feeding is not an option. but a must. before i switched over to bartletts, i netted as many as i could, those that couldn't net out were subject to weeks of low feeding. slowly one by one fell out. but till now, still have one lonely purple sole who survived the me-induced holocaust and mingling with the bartletts

helfrich MIA months back liao...lol... my advice: dun bother if you have a considerable size tank, very hard to spot it...the same money buy a black tang more worth it for nano tanks/species tanks, no harm getting it
