yeah lor...sony is a consumer products conglomerate..not the hardcore camera company...so the level of camera history and tradition is something that sony definitely doesn't have..hehe... i also heard some comments that true photographers only use Leica...but well, that may be biased also..hehe but like i say, for normal users like me...any brand will do as long as the pictures come out nice..hehe...but for discerning photographers like you..only the best will satisfy...hehe

nothing beats the economical compact flash or microdrives lor.... that's why sony is launching the f828 as dual slot...to capture the supporters of cf/md....coz the inertia to move to sony is very great if the consumers have alot of cf cards on hand....they tend to just stay in the canon/nikon realm..hehe i started digital photography from digital ixus...to ixus v2...to ixus v3 and then f717 and now sony v1....hehe those digital slrs are too hardcore for a light user like me lah....my gf that time commented that not practical to buy the bazooka f717...and reluctant as i may say, i do agree with her as it is a hassle to lug it around...

oh yeah.. this is where sony learnt its lesson..the f828 is the first sony camera to have both memory stick and compact flash slots..hehehe yeah...they finally woke up their idea..hehe

i very organised...all these stuff are in my 6ft.....those in my 4ft thread are strictly in the tank there..hehe yeah...i love ricordias...maybe crossed over from my love for grapes...seedless please..hehe.. bro dersuz passed me a pink/red ricordia that both of us feel that its quite sickly already..but i am trying my best to nurse it back to health....hope it doesnt melt away..

I think to tie in a good brand is one thing...to make it merge seamingless into a great product is another.... panasonic tried to use Leica to follow this sony trend with carl zeiss right? but so far from what i observe..not many seem to get onto the panasonic wagon leh..hehe

tat time at suntec was the prelaunch....and preorder..but till now i think not here yet...prelaunch have a special metallic case that has your name engraved and can house all the camera stuff and the camera itself.. er...the fun of photography without water? hope u dun go in the direction like one prominent guy in our news....hehe..

anyway...for whatever photography, fishtank photography included...the camera can only help u so much...basic techniques like keeping a firm grip helps alot....like what they taught you in BMT days at the range....hold breath squeeze trigger...hehe

hehe...yeah...coz what the f717 has, this v1 also has...in a reduced size format...all those night shot, night framing...laser framing...hehe although the lens is smaller and slightly not as good as f717 lor..but the difference not really obvious in normal photography lah..no as though i am doing studio shots..hehe...in that case must go for professional digital SLRs liao.. i was actually waiting for the 828 u know..but then my uncle is buying it..so i thought no point having 2 bazookas....maybe next time when he gets it when it finally arrives in singapore...i use it to take the pics and let you guys see if got difference or not..hehe

yeap Octo..u are very sharp also...hehe taken with the v1 that i mentioned somewhere in my threads....very pleased with it..picture almost as good as my old f717..but yet so much lighter and portable.

last week i check....nitrates about 2mg/L (salifert) phospates between 0.03 - 0.1...but closer to 0.03... (salifert) will do another check these few days...

not too sure the name..but at least if kept manageable amounts, they add a touch of green to the tank..quite nice also

agar agar 8inches..hehe..not too sure coz did not really measure..
