yeap...but many new hobbyists who start off this hobby will be put off by the higher prices...but soon they will appreciate that higher prices means better livestock condition generally...hehe really worth paying that bit more

then u eliminate the chance of the fish deteriorating in their holding system...but u still havent eliminate the chance that the fishes are cyanide caught or are not eating.. the best scenario is ...to buy from a place...where you know the holding system is well...meaning...the fishes can be left unsold for a few days and yet show no drop in health...still eating..... a place where you know most if not all the fishes are not cyanide caught, meaning only handcaught/netcaught.... a place where you know the fishes are feeding and you can see for your own eyes that they are really feeding..hehe after all these and other considerations...you are only left with a few places in singapore...hehe

not advice lah..just sharing my views..me not expert enough to give out advice yet..heheh just share what i feel with bros here...cheers..have a merry Xmas

for picky fishes like these, if you just roam around pasir ris farms..hard to find good feeding ones....for other kinds...the farms there will do just fine... for delicate fishes like anthias or ATs, best to get from places where reefers here already endorse...at least u can go to work or school peacefully without worrying whether they will die next few days of cyanide poisoning or starvation....coz u never know if the fishes are feeding or not at the farms in pasir ris... and even if they are feeding...the way i observe the general lifestock and health there....even healthy good fishes reach there...also might succumb to sickness easily.. u can visit them a few days in a row and u can actually see the gradual drop in health of the same fish there...but can't be helped..these farms clear them almost as fast as the shipments come.....so you can't blame them for not upkeeping their stuff well...

reading as at 24 december 12.10pm almost 0 nitrates in both the high resolution and low resolution salifert test....but i think there is still some slight pinkish hue...very very slight...so cannot say 0 nitrates also... as long as below 10 i happy liao

this question maybe u can ask our anthias experts out there...me not one..hehe..maybe bro dispar anthias can help... what i personally do is to look at the fish carefully and see if it has signs of breathing problem and issit swimming actively or issit just resting with no vibrant behaviour on the tank floor...avoid these floor resting fishes...either they are sick or really resting..but i will not take this risk.. but here comes the difficult part...with a tank of both swimming and *resting* fish...any attempts by you to try to net the swimming ones will result in them hurdling along with the *resting ones*... so either u net from a tank full of swimming anthias..or you really have to be fast, accurate and lucky to net the correct ones and not the resting ones..coz they will just group together when frightened.. and yeah..to make things easier...buy the fishes from a reputable place..not coz of the shop brand..but coz of the general condition of the fishes there..

hope they keep eating....really love them when i saw them...but i know that they are finicky eaters.....even henry from ML said so...

an early Xmas present for me from the anthias themselves..hehe...my anthias hid and took about a week before coming out today at dawn to feed...took a nap just now and when i woke up..they were still in the main water column and not hiding behind the rocks.... one week...was worrying if they dun eat and die...but now they are as hungry as pigs....hehe

yeah...atman lights not so expensive...at 2000plus, your fren could have bought those arcadia types already....the atmans are actually *following* the arcadia designs at a lower price..hehe so i think your fren genna chop carrot head by the place he bought it...hehe..but anyway....best wishes for the sales
