Just in case those reefers who are having their first anemone or not much experience with one..do not panic if your anemone starts gaping, meaning the mouth open big... when i mean open big...it means bigger than usual lah...but still in good shape and not throwing any innards out... coz mine just did yesterday and shrunk and the tentacles were small....but i remembered reading somewhere that after eating, the only place for the anemone to pass out the residue food is also through the mouth, so it may contort and try to purge out the residue... as long as the gap is not prolonged for a few days..the anemone should be back in shape soon...mine is in full bloom as usual again.. so in case any bros here fed their anemones and next day or next few days the anemone shrink and looks jialat..dun worry..just monitor it first....as long as the main body is not turning into jelly or puking, then it should be ok.. sorry for being lor sor...just wanna share to prevent any panic attacks

yeah..i left at 9odd..u can see from the time i posted... means between 9 to noon....all genna swipe clean already.... if you had made your way there straight after my post, you may still have a chance...because the advertisment-happy LFS normally come around 9plus to 10 to choose their stock... means within a space of 3 to 4 hours...all gone...that shows how fast and the demand for it.. but dun worry...cleaner shrimps will flood the market in january when the monsoon has more or less died down -
mine is a glutton...eats pellets...even cyclopeeze which is so small compared to its mouth....frozen brine shrimp and mysis shrimp... actually depends on the specimen you get..some already dun wanna eat in the LFS and when u buy it..really hard to coax it back to eat

i only have confidence in fishes from coralfarm....i am not affliated with them in anyway...hehe other places...mortality rates are usually quite high....and risk of infection to current tank inhabitants are usually higher... so...can just do what we can and the rest up to fate -
2 - 3 months before sudden death.... can only lead to one conclusion
-
yeah..most people who love tangs will introduce the fiercest one last so that the rest can get a foothold of the territory in the tank first....if not..the fiercest one go in..tat's it...he thinks the whole tank is his and he will not allow another tang to thread into his space..hehe

yeap... i seriously think all should have a quarantine tank if buying from places where you dunno whether the fishes are eating or whether they have disease.... imagine you have hundreds dollars worth of fishes in your tank and you introduce a little $1 clown for example and then all of them genna disease outbreak one by one... really not worth it in the long run and you end up having to start all over buying fishes again ...or even if you are lucky, still stressful trying to nurse the rest back to health, can't even go to work at ease or for those in school, can't even study at ease... so save the trouble...get a quarantine tank which you can dose medication also which will harm the corals in the main tank... whether medication say reef safe or not, i still prefer not to dose any medication in the main tank... -
