very true..... as AT mentioned somewhere...easily hit 15K.... i dare not even count the expense for my 6ft thoroughly..but i am sure gone pass 10k liao

yeah..keep changing end up waste money also..but if you wanna go 6ft and have proper equipment, have to set aside about 10K for it.... whether big or small tank never mind, as long do it properly...you will enjoy it...

a few leh...they shrink and i see some of these creepy crawlies around..all along i tot they were harmless pods.... is different from melting....i better move them up to the main tank tomorrow on the rockworks... or maybe the pods crawl all over the floridas and they get irritated by the pods moving on top of them....so they shrink but i notice some of the edges like got eaten marks leh...

hi all, i noticed some lice-like things near my floridas that look like pods or amphipods.... and a few floridas seem to have been eaten up slowly by them....coz i see the wriggly things moving around the floridas.... issit really possible that the pods eat floridas??

yeah...the colours not say very vibrant blues and greens...but the sheer size and the *frenship* price is very worth it still got to thank bro planetG again for his generous offer of his clams to me going out already...back in here tonight..hehe.. see ya guys

yeah..if u really want all your stuff up by CNY..u better start buying all your rocks now and curing them in tubs before the tank come...then when the tank come...fill water....wait for the dust to clear...then put all the full cured rocks in and you save alot of time liao

as for bacteria growth...they will be growing on the spherical surfaces of the glass beads....but the case where u brought up reflection and reflection is something interesting no doubt.... while coral sand is mainly opaque or at most translucent under micro scrutiny....glass beads definitely allow more light through and they will reflect and refact creating a lot of micro mirror surfaces, thats why they appear so white...coz they reflect most of the light around them...to your eyes..to your background...indiscriminately.... thus the algae growth may be more profuse...this i may agree at this point...but defintely we can only wait and see from this thread progress as bro barra's tank mature and then we can see if this problem is indeed inherent or not
