hahaha..on... very long time never see the handsome specky guy there liao....next time treat me satay and kopi...yum yum
-
high nitrates also possible....
-
good should be good..but dunno how much it adsorb... edwin told me to try to review it...but very hard to quantify it.... if it is cheaper than rowaphos by weight but yet absorb less phosphates per unit weight...then maybe rowaphos is better... but unless some bro here can do a mini lab test...taking 2 water samples of same phosphate levels and then run the water through rowaphos and the other through biophos...and then we can know which one absorb better/more... and such phosphate media..u will never know how long it lasts....coz there is no indication from the media itself....u just need to test phosphates in the water....when phosphates rise, means media is exhausted and need to change liao....so...put your phosphate test kit to good use.... you very new to this hor must treat me kopi at 201 kopitiam
-
er..i think the problem is not the hotness of the water...but the idea of using water itself to wash the media....like you said..so much brown dust...and i suspect the brown dust also good stuff..but since the manufacturer say wash with hot water..then wash lor... yeah..got sizzling sound when it is so called activated...LOL

-
yeah..i also bought 2 packets last month...also made phosphates reduce alot..but i couldnt quantify how much..by weight is cheaper than rowaphos.. but have to use hot water to activate it first.....i scared many goodness genna wash away...

haha.... u ah...dun want to pass to you lah..i got cousins waiting in line every weekend trying to pre-book my fishes if i want to release

huge always got some advantage..just that we must find a balance between huge and being able to house them..hehe yeah..i using 2 skimmers...look here http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...ic=7509&st=2655 i dun skim just kopi-o from my system... my aquaC and H&S skims out mud also....pure packs of solid mud so i was wondering if RSB is also good...i can add it to my skimmer system
-
No lah... it is AquaC, H&S and redsea challenge... tat time bought H&S after my aquaC....still cannot conclude which one skim better... so maybe i follow you buy the redsea classic....may finally be able to conclude redsea skim best of all....and i can sell away the earlier 2 save electricity...just run the cute and short berlin will do yeah...i see the H&S and the redsea pic i want to laugh also...the H&S can literally swallow the redsea alive pic from the net...was in my folder for some time..i always keep interesting equipment photos in my folder...did alot of research before buying my skimmers mah...so i look around and saw many interesting pics that i want to keep...

maybe i will just get the classic RSB since it is so short and cute and somemore endorse by bro Acanthurus pyroferus for its sure performance even in a 6ft... if i can squeeze the H&S and AquaC into my sump...i dun see why not the RSB berlin...then can run 3 skimmers maybe i will add this berlin classic ...then remove the H&S gradually....and then remove the AquaC gradually and just run the berlin classic save me more electricity and can sell the H&S and AquaC and buy more black tangs here's a pic for comparison...the H&S vs redsea size
-
then i better try it as well... since you say the short berlin classic can do the job so well.. if you extend the foam tower and add needlewheel method to its venturi method...how can it not be better than the short classic one? wah...then i go get the turboXL and try... okok...where to buy it ah...
-
wah...like tat will the RSB XL coupled with the turbo upgrade be better? the venturi plus needlewheel chopping action plus tall tall tower....
-
not fish poo lah... it's DOC...dissolved organic carbons...and other stuff that are not visible to the eye...hehe er...is the 6ft tank full of sps which requires almost no DOCs or other wastes in the water? if your 6ft was full of sps and fishes and yet can do well also...i better go buy a RSB also
