  4. http://mathforum.com/library/drmath/view/55618.html
  5. often such symptoms mean the beginning of the end.... really up to the fish to fight it...u can do your part to improve water conditions and try to feed it well...
  6. no lah...not an anthias expert... just keep your water conditions tip top and not only anthias will thrive...everything else will be in place.....happy reefing
  7. can be many reasons...but probably some gill infection/disease may be the cause...if u see it panting and staying at one corner of the tank lifeless, then probably going to be a goner soon... how to keep them well? most web resources will say good currents....oxygen saturated waters....and plenty of feeding throughout the day....
  8. can..but at your own risk just like many stuff out there... i have 2...
  9. they are not the best...for definitely up there amongst the best
  10. yeah lor...but those commercial large single chambers always come with stronger pumps than the lower series...maybe coz the chamber too big really need a stronger pump...hehe..but for those who cannot afford the height clearance for large CRs, then dual chamber shorter towers may be the way... stronger pump also mean more efficient mixing..or to the point of even making the media beads move and roll around increasing effective surface area for reaction rather than the water channelling that occurs sometimes with smaller pumps......both got good and bad points.... just like becketts are good but consume alot of electricity....but if mindset is just on saving electricity, no doubt there are many skimmers/CRs out there tat take electrical consumption as utmost importance for this category of reefers in mind.... but like i said...why stop at dual chamber? go for 3 or more govt policy... hehee..kidding
  11. dual chamber means there is more reaction space/time for the co2 to react with media....a large single chamber with a strong recirculation pump probably can match a dual chamber smaller in dimensions.... but essentially any single chamber can be made dual chamber by putting another simplified CR next to it....where effluent leaving the 1st CR goes into the 2nd CR before returning to the tank... nothing really special or technically challenging about the 2nd chamber at all...if u want..u can simply hook a few in series and get triple or quadruple chamber CR... this is wat i think..hehe
  12. my aquaC.. when i bought my H&S to complement my aquaC, many said one will render the other useless.....but in the end both also skim... just like the 20ft mega tank in USA we saw in here recently, he was running 3 H&S skimmers side by side...next to each other....
  13. my 2 skimmers put side by side near the same part of the sump always skim individually...doesnt seem to be affected by each other H&S
  14. actually is the resun md55 as powerful as the iwaki 55rlt?
  15. eh...din know it will leak... but i cable tied / hose clipped everything that is not secured in my piping/hose system.... maybe coz i cable tied it right from the start...tat's why no complaints so far.... but this new model with clips definitely more convenient..
  16. yeah...came as *standard fitting* for the calcium reactor pic abit blur cannot see the gardena....but dun have the hold on clip for hose ends..i cable tie myself....hehe
  17. hehe.... can feel that you give him quite abit of leeway and freedom for self-expression....
  18. yeah man..heng i never tried wearing such tshirts to town...lol... only to nearby places to grab stuff and back... now i can imagine the kind of terror you have been describing to me i can almost 'extrapolate' his kinda behaviour to other aspects... you are a great mother...
  19. there are a few methods that ozonizers use to produce ozone..some have to do regular maintenance of some parts inside the ozoniser to get rid of dirt... u can push dry air through the ozoniser...but dirt will slowly coat the internal components...this is what i am concerned about... but maybe just leave it lah hor...dun fix what's ain't broken..
  20. ok..back to topic... have you decided when to dismantle the redsea ozonizer? or it's totally maintenance free ah....from what i know sometimes have to clean the internal parts as maintenance i know i have to clean my sanders ozonizer one day..but scared open liao..dunno how to put back properly
  21. i know u will say that... i wore the same clownfish version one day and as i was walking from the carpark...some children who just got out of the car were screaming... PAPA!! NEMO NEMO NEMO!!.. i so paiseh dare not turn back ...walk away quickly can lor..next time i see u then change lor...
