but those strong rains can clean the condensor fins for you...lol... anyway, did u think of building a little shade for the compressor? so that it doesnt get direct heating from the sun? imagine you are the compressor in a hot afternoon at the balcony compared to having a shade over you during the same afternoon

hmm.... but i am still using a 1/2 hp chiller and dun find myself currently in need to change yet.....but come june/july, maybe that will be a good test for all our chillers and system...hehe alvy's 1hp chiller has the best operating environment, totally unobstructive ventilation....

yeah..i think cannot have 100% efficiency in such cooling units... last time all those thermodynamics and heat transfer knowledge all return to prof liao.. that time one bro mentioned he going to japan for some automotive aircon stuff, i think he can give an indepth analysis of such cooling units..ehhe but i think the artica is worth a try....not many users here compared to other brands...whether in the marine or tropical/freshwater realms..

yeah lor....i think can get the higher horsepower units..then run the water piping a bit longer using insulation foams on the water pipings...and can place the compressor unit alongside our usual aircon compressor units....sure wun warm the house...but u will lose some efficiency due to the length of the piping
