  1. yeap...anyway, will update more pics tomorrow for day 3 action tat's all for now...he's eating pellets along with the others...less of veges compared to his previous holding tank... anyway, i was thinking if we can feed freshwater pellets to our marine fishes? coz my current pellets keep getting stuck at the fins of the tunze streams.. wonder if i can use those smaller pellets to feed my marine fishes or not... just a thought, dare not try yet ok....going off...back later ..
  2. went for a short while after marketing trip, end up looking at puppies there instead....dun wanna buy anything to add to my tank liao, so just drove pass the fish farms so basically this is the update till now, hope day 3 will not have 3 sliced fins
  3. but he is quite brave, never did he attempt to hide behind the rocks, he just took it as the others try to intimidate him... really a brave boy
  4. yeah....but when it comes to tangs...even the smallest can be a bully to a new addition and he is always the nearest tang to the front glass, thus makes him look even bigger...but yes, he is the biggest guy in there now
  5. u can see a little irregularity at the top fin...tat's one of the slice sorry for the graininess, pics taken at ISO800
  6. continue where i left off, http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7509 AT had 1 slice on the top fin before i slept last night... today he had 2 obvious when he spreads his top fin all had their fun bullying him..hope he is up to it
  7. boss AT and bro tanzy, i am ready to jump to a new thread, please rename this thread as Roidan's 6fter Part1 and close it I will start a new Roidan's 6fter Part2 and carry on from there after this thread is closed.... thanks a million
  8. eh....so cannot use month to split the threads... so just rename this thread as Roidan's 6ft tank Part 1 and i start off a new one Roidan's 6ft tank Part 2 ah open to suggestions on how to name them
  9. true also..even myself find it hard to retrieve sections of this thread myself... maybe i rename this thread as Roidan's 6ft tank Dec-April then at beginning of May, close this thread and continue another thread as Roidan's 6ft tank May-some later month...
  10. no prob bro... u are no.1 for my H&S while vinoth is no.1 for my aquaC, all noted down liao..dun worry
  11. yeah...but if things roll out as planned, i prefer a 12fter
  12. tat's true bro, that's why i scheduled the double beckett earlier....while the deltec is just an extravagrant dream..... if the double beckett is sufficient, the deltec will remain a dream...after all, the deltec cost can set up another tank already
  13. hehe.... actually like i said before, as long as plans are made to rehouse the tangs when they grow larger, no problem with keeping a few small to mid sized tangs in a 6ft tank like mine... but once they outgrow the tank, have to be responsible enough to give them up to tanks which have more swimming space for them but if one continues to keep the tangs while there is obviously not enough lateral swimming length for their body size, i think it is then time for tang police to come in by then i hope a 12ft tank system will be in place..then no need for adoption..secret project somewhere...will not be documented here...but will invite some bros to see the finished project if circumstances allow
  14. yeah...heng i am not in the states... anyway, once they get bigger, i will have to distribute them away.... i have a ready list of adopters, especially my eager relatives and cousins who are always ready to house my stuff when i decide to take out of my tanks, be it corals or fishes..hehe they hawk over my tanks every weekend suggesting to me which one to take out first... yeah...hope the system holds till a couple of months more....a double beckett will be due by then.... and if budget allows, the deltec with 6needlewheel pumps AP 1006 is what i may want also...probably can run a small public aquarium with this skimmer already For Aquariums up to: Heavy Stocking 8000 Ltrs (1778 gals) Normal Stocking 12000 Ltrs (2667 gals) http://www.deltecaquariumsolutions.com/skimmers_11.php High turnover skimmer: AquaC Ev240(present) ------->double beckett (a couple of months time) Low turnover skimmer: H&S 150-F2001(present)------------>deltec 4-6needlewheel pumps (if i can really bear to part with the cash) i still like the double prong skimming method: one skimmer with high turnover and another with lower turnover but more thorough skimming
  15. very nice gobies you got too bro... they may like the clam mantle as their lounge cushion...hehe
  16. i used a weipro 2014...also put a eheim liberty filter with seachem matrix at one corner...change some water every 2 days or so was thinking of putting more liberties when i have the time
  17. yeah...i bought 4 neon gobies actually.. put them into the tank one by one... 2 are always seen together the other 2 are at different ends of the tank..hehe interesting creatures, look like the cousins of the freshwater neon tetras
  18. should be those bright green ...shiny green croceas lor... actually the more u look at them..the more sian... really those Preef's ultra maximas were the best so far i have seen
  19. interesting observation: the loner of the tank, the black tang, decided to bully AT just before lights out....and yellow tang darted from one side of the tank to the other side to chase him back into the back channels.... ok...maybe can understand why yellow tang is so anti-black tang....they are of same zebrasoma family... but why does the black tang wanna bully AT when he is mostly not in open waters all the time due to the yellow tang.... he was willing to put himself at yellow tang's mercy by coming out to the open waters to bully AT.... dun tell me the black tang can see that AT is also black? question here: are fishes able to see colours?
  20. hehe....ok...no problem...maybe during the school holidays when u are more free anyway, i have been trying to catch my cleaner wrasses out of my tank....they have become too aggressive for my liking...been lucky or unlucky to have them last for a few months already... list of their crimes: aggressively cleaning the fishes, and i think the fishes react with a tinge of pain ,when AT went in, the cleaner wrasses also chase after AT to clean.... pecking at the clam mantles, which i have moved out my clams already....even my giant clam is now in my clam tank lastly, chasing my poor helfrich everytime my dear helfrich wants to come out to the open to feed during feeding time...resulting in mr helfrich lingering at some dens behind the rockwalls.... and the moment my net hits the waters, the cleaner wrasses dart into the crevices....they are such a pain to me now.... if i can ever remove all of them...will replace them with an army of neon gobies
  21. war report: small slice on the dorsal fin on the AT..dunno who is the culprit..no other physical damage, hope tomorrow will be a better day anyway, my tangs stocking list is completed should this AT makes it for long term.... no more tang-shopping liao...except black tangs for my blacktangtank
  22. sharp eyes besides camera angles, got another reason..PM u liao...haha anyway, your AT feeding on other stuff? mine just veges and pellets now....doesn't eat the other food that you feed your AT with...
