  1. wah..black man..how often u clean the cup?
  2. yeah...or maybe the new skimmer technology that our boss AT has been talking about...the one that uses less electricity than becketts but yet pull more air than needlewheels or becketts....to foam like we've never seen anything close before if i am not wrong, i can infer that it will blow the socks off both methods. can only wait till after interzoo before we can get more info boss, remember to update me
  3. yeah man...can keep stocked up 6ft with sps, according to someone ...just nice my tank size, hope my sps next time can colour up ok...on a more serious note, must pay tribute to my 2 workhorses
  4. i think for this initial period where the AT hasn't stabilized yet, maybe can keep feeding till u see the AT rejects the food, means full liao... hmm..working hard, that i dunno, never hear the 2 skimmers complain ooops...hehehe aiya, should have added a RSB skimmer to relieve these 2 abit i definitely got space to add the RSB never mind lah...will give them a good retirement soon
  5. dun think they get heart problems lah your ev240 shouldn't have problems with extra feedings, i feed my fishes 4 - 5 times a day..flooding the water with food flying around.... of coz i have my 2 skimmers and macroalgae to tahan the feedings... but i am sure you wun have problems feeding more to your tangs also... i can also see the poo literally dissolving in the currents... excited for you mah....hehee...dunno if got the fortune to join the beckett family or not..hehe talking about anthias, i will stock more when i have a new mega skimmer till it puts the ocean to shame ooops...kidding if i say i have more than 50 fishes in my tank now, big or small, u all believe?
  6. actually i think the neon gobies will eventually get aquainted with the tangs, but my cleaner wrasses are preventing them from getting too near the tangs. never mind bro, ask your AT to tahan awhile more, when your dual beckett is here, all the whitespots get skimmed away kidding, but no doubt water quality will improve further and that itself will be an important factor in improving your tangs health
  7. anyway in my tank of cleaner wrasses and neon gobies, i find the neon gobies being prevented from doing their good work on the tangs, because firstly, the tangs do not really stop for the neon gobies to hop on the tangs and also the cleaner wrasses tend to scare off the gobies, i think the wrasses do take their jobs seriously and allow no subletting of responsiblities here's my AT getting VIP healthcare treatment from 2 of them, one left, one right, what more can a tang ask for?
  8. as long as your existing tangs show no signs of ich.... u can take a gamble, coz AT will be the first fish to let you know if there is ich in your system maybe you can put it in your sump first if there is space, or a big betta box in the main tank...anytime u feel ich has taken over and the tang has succumbed, at least u have the ability to take it out....rather than releasing it into the main tank and u have problems catching it out ...
  9. wah bro.. u and our boss AT , both using ATs as avatar, wait many bros here get confused yeah..mine pretty fat....quite happy for him that he did fought off ich in the beginning, managed to accept all the migration from tank to tub to tank well, but i am not taking for granted, any minute ich may be waiting for a comeback
  10. attending his medical appointment
  11. dunno how many days AT with me liao.. barring any mishaps, he should be a keeper
  12. wait till weileong's dual beckett skimmer is here, all the whitespots also get skimmed away by the skimmer..
  13. same here, haven't change my water from day 1 also.....learn from this senior...
  14. never mind lah...just keep taking more pics of it as it grows up and answers will be revealed
  15. definitely not Vlamingii juvenile or atlantic blue tang juvenile... but dunno wat juvenile tang is this
  16. not only in china u get this kinda scam, even in JB, u can find also.. a relative bought those dried fish or something in a plastic jar...opened it up only to find the sides of the jar covered with the fishes...the insides all empty...lol.. but the packaging is such that you think wah...filled with the fishes....end up only the walls of the jar are filled...lol
  17. classified ads always have aircon repair/servicing/installation guys.. flip the papers...u will be spoilt for choice ask them if they can install the brackets and piping works for u
  18. if u are afraid that u may end up not seeing it... i suggest u dun get it, coz what you fear is probably what we guys who have it are facing... i am sure some bros with blackcaps will have success in having the blackcaps swimming around often, but such acts are probably against their natural behaviour in the wild with our often brightly-lit tanks...
  19. bro, u din know ah.. AT linked up with bio-ocean already
  20. definitely not.... simply put, ask u travel on a straight road as fast as you can and travel on a road with many bends as fast as you can.. i am sure you will travel faster on a straight road using the same car
  21. nothing weird alfa, royals are found in shallower waters than blackcaps... i posted the link in this thread...seems like u din read in detail... do read more The two valuable species and their congener are found in the same sorts of steeply (seventy percent plus) inclined reef fronts, aka "walls". The Royal Gramma occupies the shallowest waters, very generally from the surface to 60-80 feet, being dislocated by the Black-Cap, Gramma melacara, which is in turn is displaced by the third Gramma species, the yellow-cheek Gramma linki, at 120-160 feet on down. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/grammas.htm and one of the main reasons why blackcaps cost more than royals are that the divers have to go deeper to get them....remember those helfrich firefishes? they are expensive not because of rarity, but because of the depth in order to find them
  22. same here, haven't seen them since they decided to make themselves comfortable....luckily took some pics of them for rememberance before they went hiding..hehe dun worry...they belong to deepwater species that like subdued lighting..i am sure just feed your fishes as per normal and they will get their food also.
