haha.... no lah..kidding lah...700 to frighten all the vultures hovering ahead first i using ev240 and this H&S model..is outsump but i chucked it in my sump also....save trouble...hehee outsump skimmers always have the flexibility to use insump provided you have height clearance for it...whereas insump skimmers are only for insump purposes...

er AP.... i think i have always tried to be objective in any threads in the forum with regards to what i post. i do not just shoot off without trying to find out correct info first. at least u noticed even without MH, your goldfish tanks and 2ft tanks genna abit of sunlight also get algae liao..hehe..this is due to the high nutrient levels in the water and being near the windows give them just that enough light to sprout algae in the systems actually come to think of it, direct sunlight or indirect sunlight, the MHs above the tank already much stronger than the lights coming in from the windows...hehe but when u want to cut down on lighting when u happen to genna algae in main tank, you can control the MH timing in order to deprive the algae light, but by then you cannot control the ambient sunlight from the windows unless use the opaque curtains.... never mind, i will not let your main tank genna nuisance algae if i can help....will talk to you in greater detail the next time we meet.... and please dun suan me of my car alarm the next time you see me

eh AP, really put near windows are to be avoided if possible for avoidance of direct/indirect sunlight, if there are other better locations, this is a known fact of aquairum hobby, not only marine lah.... and sorry hor....the refugium algae was wrongly identified as hair algae, in fact it's just a stringy algae that even tangs like to eat....get your facts right especially since the ID has been confirmed that it's NOT hair algae and i got the crabs is to clean my clam shells clean... i did not use them for my main system, tank or sump...haha

if i really end up doing the 2ft sps cube in place of the clam tank, then forecasted end of the year

at least u are only amazed, even some of my friends or even some here are hoping to see my tank crash coz they started marine long before i did and yet i am *defying laws of physics* according to what they say too bad it ain't gonna happen...for now at least but i am sure my tank will get even better with an incoming skimmer upgrade

AP is called chocolate tang or the mimic tang because it likes to eat chocolates as well as like to mimic different identities maybe can feed AP chocolates to get it to grow big big it's one of the tangs with obvious colour change from juvenile to adult.....tangs like chevron also have such colour changing process...

anyway, if u place your IOS on the right. you may want to leave a gap between the tank and the windows on the right side in case you need to do some unforeseen work on the IOS itself... if you push the tank all the way to the right...then you can only access your IOS from the front plane of the glass...and then will make you have problems reaching the bottom of your IOS if you need to reach it... so make sure you have space for you to stand directly beside your IOS section and reach into it....
