anyway ben, maybe alot of useless chat here like bro deepblue say which i agree as well....but wat good is there trying to earn post? can convert to money issit? anyway, back to topic...let me contribute something for bro riot on the teco chiller at least prospective buyers can see how much this chiller can pull down in relation to tank size.....add some discounting factor yourselves due to non ideal operating conditions
-
yeah lor...why delete? wat a waste...sigh.. u would be able to prove your earlier balcony skeptics wrong when you have a fully loaded tank as this thread matures.... stay and share with us nice pics of your future sps specimens that you couldn't do the same with your previous 6ft reef
-
true also..but in a way helps the thread stay up there to get more publicity...higher chance of attracting potential buyers anyway, although a tad old at 3 years..but i am sure there is still alot of life left in the teco to serve another owner....upz for the chiller, hope it gets a new owner soon
-
not buying coz i am using one already 3 years old and this price, i thought bro ben will have some comments

wah..very cute... is there a mushie near them? looks like a volcano crater
-
no problem..good product worth to push yeah...beckett may have an edge in bigger tanks where higher turnover of water is preferred....but needlewheels are also good in their own ways
-
upz for you again trevally...

yeah lor.. in real life he very nice one... dun believe in his buaya crap....he is a sheep in wolf skin...really

if you get a good specimen and it adapts well to your tank, it should look like pics of the sailfins here

bro blenny: bartletts are around 30odd to 40 per piece....one of the more expensive anthias around.....but they are much easier to care for than anthias like purple queens... another less expensive anthias is dispar anthias...(not the bro here ..hehe) also very hardy and easy to please got mine from coralfarm, yellow tang was the first tang in my tank, next was this sailfin.... pale maybe coz they are stressed, the one with a yellow tail is the pacific sailfin tang if i am not wrong, my sailfin is the desjardini sailfin tang... 2 types of sailfin tangs

although it's nice to have the right tunze hidden amongst the rocks and get rid of dead spots, somehow it impedes the broad cone flow output of the tunze...tried before in my 4ft trying to hide the tunze behind the rocks or amongst the rocks but realise i am not using it to full potential of the broad flow cone... but like i said, definitely neater to hide it amongst the rocks i think some bros do put the mesh somewhere in the DSB to prevent sandsifting LS from burrowing too deep..

bartlett anthias. very good choice bro, they are hardy, less picky to food and great temperament but if u mean sunburst, then abit more difficult...but when the time comes, i am sure i can share some personal methods with you

very correct, the laminated tempered glass means that due to the tempered nature, the glass will first break in safe, non sharp edges and the broken pieces are held together by the interlayer... tat's why when we get large stones thrown at the front windscreen...the screen breaks in a spiderweb fashion but yet the whole windscreen doesn't shatter into pieces...it will go down in one complete broken piece most of the time
-
hon is right... Laminated glass is a combination of two or more glass sheets with one or more interlayers of plastic (PVB) or resin. In case of breakage, the interlayer holds the fragments together and continues to provide resistance to the passage of persons or objects. This glass is particularly suitable where it is important to ensure the resistance of the whole sheet after breakage such as: shop-fronts, balconies, stair-railings, roof glazing. Production There are two types of laminated glass: PVB and resin laminated glass: • PVB laminated glass is two or more sheets of glass which are bonded together with one or more layers (PVB) under heat and pressure to form a single piece. • Resins laminated glass is manufactured by pouring liquid resin into the cavity between two sheets of glass which are held together until the resin cures.
-
er...hon is right below tempered glass just means glass that has gone through a process of strenthening...whereas laminated glass means glass that is bonded by 2 pieces with an interlayer between
