Hi guys. Just want to hear your advice if it is overkill to install a compressor drop in coil to chill a 2ft tank? My current tank size is 2ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft with sump tank. Currently using HS28A. Due to the current dry and heat spell, the chiller is also working harder each day to cool 1 deg. I am setting my chiller to cool my tank at 27 deg C. Nowadays, It takes about 45 mins to chill 1 deg. I reckon its going to take a longer duration when the real heat spell season comes. I know I have the option to use a bigger hp from the normal aquarium chiller. I am also planning to have a 4 footer tank by end 2015. Since I have planned to have a bigger tank, thought i might as well I get a compressor chiller now for my 2 ft and then use it later for the new tank. So, will it be a good idea?
