hi boxfish , yes ,those DI cartridge from reborn can fix into 10" filter housing. As for internal of the housing , most of them all the same. Only few brands may have diff internal O-ring design. E.g Atlas brand. hope my info help.....

In order to strength the lifespan of DI cartridge . You must make sure the water ppm goes down . As long your advance filter able to do that than it will helps. That is why RO/DI system can last at least 8000L for DI cartridge as water passing thru RO membrane usually give you less than 5 ppm.

For RO, it depends what is the rate for RO membrance . E.g 50 , 75 or 100 GPD . if you able to make full use of waste water than RO will be cheaper in long term run. Also need to consider how much pure water do u need everyday.if usage is low than DI should be fine unless u really need alot to top up . Of course DI cartridge will be expensive.. but for RO/DI you also got to change the 1st and 2nd quite often too.

hi , mineral and spring water are the same . which contains natural minerals . Therefore TDS will be higher as they are dissolove solid. As for distilled water. It is close to RO water whcih consider pure water with no minerals in water therefore it reads zero TDS . For DI/RO system. The mix bed resin filter normally can last at least 5000L as after passing water thru RO membrane will have less than 5 ppm in water . the lower the ppm the lasting the resin filter.

hi amphipod, well i'm dealing with water filter for drinking.Some hobbists have approach me before for DI resin cartridge. I have imported in some mix bed colour resin from korea. stated lifespan is 500-600L per cartridge if water ppm is below 65-70. i'm doing a test now to see what is the max. it can goes. will post in classified next month..
