Hi Bro, The prob is with atman... i used this before and had gave me temp prob too.... would be better if u change to a better pump... Mount a fan direct to the hood will bring down the temp by 1-2 degree... (dependant on the ambient temperature of your room too..)

Hi, I don't think its recommended to put the fish in hypo permanently. Of all the info i have received and researched, its better to limit to 8 weeks. This should be long enough to burst the tormites if the salinity is correctly mantained throughout. Some data have stated that in the long run, the low salinity will damage some organs of the fish. Only certain fishes like freshwater puffer and mollies can be converted to SW, thus withstanding the low Sg. However it is okay to keep a lower salinity like 1.017. However if u have inverts / bacteria, they will go into a shock and KO within minutes... Just my 2 cents... Rgds, Morpheous

Hi Brittlestar, Other than having a sump, I would have recommend cannister filter for your setup. I don't really like hang on filters as some of the U joints are inaccessible. Imo, I would have prefer to do filtration first before performing the skimming. Anyway, are u refering to a sump or something else? You can buy PVC pipings to connect to the skimmer( As seen in the picture). 1/2 " diameter if i am not wrong. Another easier way is to buy a reducer fitting and use a hose to connect it directly to ur filter. But to play safe, at least use a cable tie to fasten the tubings and put silicon on your movable pipes on the 2011. Things do happen when its least expected
