Just chk the skimmate of yr skimmer .... u shd see traces of the dye there over the next few weeks .....

Hello m8s Hvnt been chionging lfs for some time. Anyone see any anemone shrimps around?

Have tried many brands, so far like Rowa & TLF ..... personal preference only so not saying other brands not gd .......

Do u use FR with those anti-phosphate stuff eg phosban, rowaphos etc etc etc... Chk n see if the pump flow is too strong for the FR that the particles come out of the FR and gets pump into yr tank. Hv happen in my sump b4.

Hello mates Just changed my T5 light tubes. Giving away my 8 used 3 ft 39w T5 tubes. (ave used 10 hr per day) Used for 12 mths. Still usable esp for those with FOWLR tanks or for experimentation or watever. Used tubes available: (1) 39 w ATI Aquablue Special - 2 tubes (2) 39 w Giesenmann 6000k (yellow) - 1 tube (3) 39 w Giesenmann Aquablue + - 3 tubes (4) 39 w Giesemann Pure Actinic - 2 tubes Plse pm me with yr h/p no. & which tube u want if u want 'em. yep . was looking for black sand for a few mths. But now hv gotten live white sand frm reefdepot. Consider very very very seriously abt the effect of the black sand. Go hv a chat with Seet & look at the small portion of blacksand in their display tank n see if u like that efffect.

I hv 3 rbta , 1 gbta , 1 purple lta & 2 tube anemones under 8 tubes of T5s .. one of the rbta is in the tank for over 2 yrs already. All the rbta still hv the red colors, no bleaching as they stay within 1 ft frm the water surface.. the tubes & purple are on sand & still same color. All the anemones are growing and crowding out my lps. Soon will hv to gv or sell away my corals to convert to a total anemone tank hahaha. So i think t5 shd be ok. Btw may be trying the new LED light set soon to replace my ati power module. Hope the new product can replace the t5s effectively.

feeding is the main prob.. it never seem to get enough food in the long run... had one but it lasted only abt a yr ...

Hihi Ultraman.. sea weed u can buy those from ntuc .... similar as dried nori but no salt or any other additives added .. one big packet that can easily last u a yr cost only a couple of bucks ... just take a very small portion n soak it in water.. once expanded feed to the fishes.. yummy.. balance u can use to boil soup as well

occelaris is great . Please do resist the temptation to house them with an anemone until your tank has stabilised for at least 9 mths to 1 yr.
