  1. the market prawn is to speed up the cycling process..but u have to monitor the water parameters closely.. its not a must but most people does it to speed up the process of the breaking down of nitrates.. the small mushroom will survive depending on your parameters and lightings.. does the mushroom appears to be fully open or shrivelled up? you can add "stockings,socks,coconut bag" at the outlet of your skimmer to help to reduce the number of microbubbles just my limited knowledge
  2. tank illuminated with my MH.. what do you guys think? its a 150w MH i guess..
  3. tank mounted with my mh.. is the light suppose to be that blueish?.. its not as bright as i expected.. hmmm... well..got this from a reefer with no knowledge of it..hope i didnt go wrong in buying this..

  7. okay..sorry for the delay in pics.. was really busy and tired to set up my tank.. yup.. i setted up the tank today..and run it with D/I water.. everything is going smoothly.. not satisfied with some things though.. here are the pics..
  8. the left side of your scapes looks dangerous.. try not to lean it again the tank/overflow in this case.. try to secure all the rocks..give it a lil nudge and see if it will topple.. fishes can knock on the rocks and cause chaos

  11. angels are basically not reef safe.. they tend to nip at corals.. if you are lucky..you can get an angel that will leave ur corals alone.. there is no species that is totally reef safe.. it depends on your luck =)

  16. yupp..its already clipped onto the cabinet as seen in the previous picture.. will add another clip to stable it onto the glass of the sump.. thanks for the advice..appreciate it alot!
  17. i guess..mainly plankton and some other tiny organism are taken in by the corals.. thus we dont really need to go "hand feed" them every so often i maybe wrong

  19. haha..i plan to open a "zoo" garden (sounds like zoological garden)..haha eyeing for those US zoos..esp the one that have green skirtings and red centre anyone know of any source which i can get them from?.. or need to import directly?
